That's cool. And I'm glad that TripWire and all these other security related businesses getting exposure (wassn't Schwartzu involved with that project at some time? I seem to remember that he was running a version of it when Mitnick hacked his box, and it helped in tracking him down? (for the second time today, I could just be crazy)) However, I don't like the way that the media hypes these things. Never did, never will. From: "Fred A. [SLE] Firewall 2.0 (SuSE Linux 6.3)

Hi, can anyone help me with building packet filter? I'm trying to install the packet filter Firewall 2.0 (Update serie "sec" for SuSE Linux 6.3), but something is still wrong ... I'd like to have zones Internet, DMZ and Private (Intranet). Because I'm only trying it, the Internet zone is in my really private zone at home - this is the net 192.168.1.0. But for the firewall it would be the Internet zone. I have only these results: - the masquerading of private net 192.168.100.0 is good - but nothing in DMZ zone is working. For example: www. I could have swon that I saw tripwire on my 6.2 disk. Check the security package. And I'm sorry if I read the articles wrong, they seem to want to present tripwire as the "magic security bullet". But, just like anything else, tripwire requires a good sysadmin in order to be effective. This quote trips (no pun intended) me up.... [SLE] Novell and suse 6.3

Hi all, I am looking for a simple way to login and authenticate to novell. We run NDS here and I am running suse linux 6.3. I have looked at the caldera nwclient utilities but cannot load the rpm. I keep getting glibc is a required dependency but I have glibc2 installed. Someone please help! This is becomming quite an issue. If you can help, send me some good instructions to follow! I also have in my .emacs (add-hook 'find-file-hooks 'turn-on-font-lock) This basically turns on font lock for all files that are loaded into the buffer. You could selectively set font-lock for any specific type of file as below (add-hook 'c-mode-hook 'turn-on-font-lock) Also, set (font-lock-mode 1) to enable font-lock as you type in new code. How do i put colors to emacs in suse 6.3? I already put: (setq font-lock-maximum-decoration t) in my .emacs and did a M-x load-file and there are no colors.
