[SLE] corel draw cdr format in Linux

Hi everyone. Our Linux training weekend continues and we have just emerged from a 2 hour Gimp session. What a relief to be able to edit images without a stupid powermac crashing all the time and rip off software incoporated's photoshop 'out of memory' losing hour upon hour of work. Oh, and we are $550 better off because of it. And oh, the speed of proper PC! Next question. Is there a filter that will allow us to open cdr format files under Linux? The Gimp just gave up and a client has just sent us fifteen of them. Otherwise It's another hard slog converting, mounting and transferring. Hey, we'd give a lot for a CorelDraw for Linux. Then our photo transition would be complete. Steve tells us that this may just be a possibility. Any news anywhere? [SLE] Problems with internet connection using KPPP under SuSE 6.3

I just installed SuSE 6.3 and am having problems using KPPP to connect to the internet. if I connect logged as root, everything is fine. If I connect as a normal user, I cannot connect. First it was a "cannot open log file" mesage. I changed the permision on /var/log/message to 666. I checked /sbin/pppd. It looked fine with the permision "-rwsr-sr-- root dialout". /dev/ppp had permission "crw-rw---- root root" I changed it to 666. Still can't connect as normal user. Can somebody help me to solve this? Dumps of /var/log/messages for both sessions are included. Hello all I have read a bit of mail re Kernal updates,I'm trying to update the kernal with a *.rpm package using Yast. It says install complete but I still get my old version showing:) Btw I have completely changed from win98 to Linux :) I think this is the way to go.
