I think I might know what your problem is. First, are you in the /usr/src directory? Second, check this directory for a file called Makefile. (This is of course dependant on whether the kernel sources are in the /usr/src directory. If not, then insert directory where they are located in the appropriate place in the above sentence.) As far as I know, whenever you get that error when using 'make', it means there's no Makefile or config file or something of the sort. [SLE] SMP MPS REV

I have a dual motherboard and in the bios there is an option MPS REVISION 1:1 & 1:4. What are these options? what do they do? Should they be set on 1:1 or 1:4 I tried other resources but could not find any info. ...not to mention Italian one... BTW, I've already been flamed in a very unpolite way by some stupid SuSEr. I've suggested to publish the files on-line, so each contributor can submit his part, and the SuSE-supervisors can manage the final result. But this possibility has not been considered, evidently. I've both 5.3 and 6.1 manuals, and they are nothing with respect to the english version (not to mention the original one, but I don't know german). [SLE] Compiling programs

Hi Brian Am getting the error: 'can't bind to socket during PASV request (port 5010) when we try to log on or do anything in ftp. Any ideas?
