While source code can come in handy, I tend to agree... it's more important to have software that works correctly and gets the job done than it is to have source. While I personally don't use KDE because I don't like KDE, I don't see anything wrong with including it. Besides, I'd much rather they used QT (which at least I don't have to pay for) than Motif. Hello {SuSE} I am having difficulty in setting up an AGP XPERT@WORK video card. Note this is the AGP version. I have 5.1 SuSE and the Mach64 server that came with it Durring a xf86config: It comes to the card selection part: 1)list cards [y/n] :: there is no exact match here. What do I do? If I pick a card lets say Mach64 Rage 3D with internal Ramdac ect.... should I pick this? I think its just for the selection of the Mach64 X server but some of these ATI Cards look different... 2)It then asks me to pick the X server so I pick option 5 Mach64 X server 3)Then I think it asks me for RAMDAC..here i gota pick a type or hit enter ** what do I do here** ^^^ 4)Then it asks me something about clock settings(i think clock something) ** what do I do here** ^^^ 5)Then it asks me i think should I use autoprobe? Good evening all! I was demonstrating SuSE to a friend of mine, first the shells, then the 'games without x', then finally X. I went to try and use a different terminal, and severely killed X. Now, when i use either program to set up X (text or graphic), i go through the motions, then when i try to startx, i get the message '...X11_xxxx doesn't appear to be a binary file. I'm aborting now.' My question is: how do i make it see the binary file, or edit the last known working binary file to remove the offending character(s)?
