Hi, I just discovered a "new" firefox feature. I have a low power tiny computer which I use as server and to display videos. It often runs a firefox window with maybe five tabs, each on one youtube link that I follow, so to easily watch the next video in the series when I am on the mood. YaST .../wizard/style.qss - font-size: 10.5pt makes the interface much more readable (like installation.qss)

All, YaST gui in TW for software management had fonts that made it look awkward. I picked around and found the .qss theme files and the installation.qss contains: * { font-family:"Source Sans 3",sans; font-size: 10.5pt } But the default style.qss has no font size and the fonts are much larger. Devs, Since I can remember, suse/opensuse has provided the convenience of collecting the bash builtin functions in a separate man page: $ man bashbuiltins On Tumbleweed, that results in: $ man bashbuiltins No manual entry for bashbuiltins Possibly, man page is not installed, try online at: https://manpages.opensuse.org/bashbuiltins It was there up though Leap 15.4. Hi, I have a simple script, used uncountable times since years, and now it doesn't work anymore, because a module isn't found. mouse pointer doesn't change on links in firefox 128.0esr

Hello:This occurs in openSUSE 15.5. I installed firefox 128.0esr. -------The mouse pointer doesn't change to a hand on hovering links in firefox 128 esr.-------I use the default X windows mouse theme (by setting no theme in KDE control center).-------I use KDE3 desktop.-------The mouse works normally with previous firefox 115 esr.-------What is the cause, and how could I fix?-------Thanks,-------Istvan-------ps: The -------s are for separating lines.

MC bug - sourcing /usr/share/mc/mc-wrapper.sh no longer exits to cwd?

All, On Tumbleweed, the current midnight commander no longer exits to the current working directory when sourcing /usr/share/mc/mc-wrapper.sh. This has worked .. forever, but for some reason setting the alias: mc='. /usr/share/mc/mc-wrapper.sh' and running mc and navigating to a new folder, exiting mc exits back to the original folder where mc was launched instead of the current working directory. Can someone confirm, and if so, I'll write the bug. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.

We pipewire users can EASILY get better sounds!

Hello, I've been trying to make a filter for a few months now, in order to improve the sound I get from Pipewire, which has improved dramatically since version 1.0.0. Today, I thought I'd finally managed to get a sound I was satisfied with, so I took the filter off to check the quality of the sound I was getting from my own filter, and was astonished to hear the sound. The sound through my own filter was not so much different, and the only difference was that there was no reverbation in my own … [View More]filter. So, I went to the doctor for my regular check-up, and while I was waiting to be seen, I suddenly had the idea that "pipewire was using the plugins I had installed to create my filter". When I got home and checked the source, as I had suspected, it had been. On the other hand, I also found that pulseaudio does not have this function. BTW, when I installed the lv2 (lv2-SmartAmp) plugin for guitar sounds, which I had only installed the vst3 plugin for, and played it, the sound quality clearly improved. What I don't understand is that I have installed plugins to improve the sound of string, wind and percussion instruments, but they are all vst3 plugins, and I have created my own filter using vst3 plugins. But there is no change in the sound without the filter... (_ _? Anyway, I created my own filter in the following way, and I used synthesize to incorporate filters that improve the sound quality of various instruments, along with filters that enhance the bass, but this seems to be the same as the sound source processing that pipewire does. synrthesize --> equalize --> 7.1 virtualize --> reveb So I think it would be good to install the lv2 plugins that matches each sink, but I have installed too many lv2 plugins, so I don't know which plug-in matches other than the guitar. However, I think it's worth a try, so please give it a go. By the way, when checking the effect of installing plugins, be sure to execute $ systemctl --user restart pipewire pipewire-pulse wireplumber. I think that people who like jazz and live performances will be fine with this setup (listening on the same floor as the performers), but I like the hall tone we get when listening in a concert hall or church, so I make and use a reverb filter. If there are any people who want it, I will upload the filter, so please let me know. All, The G03 (340), G04 (390) and G05 (470) Nvidia drivers build without further patching on the 6.11 kernel. Since starting the patch scramble last week, this looked to be the case, but had not tested since Arch has not yet put out the 6.11 kernel in its core repo. Devs, All, The 6.11 kernel was released today so it will soon show up in Tumbleweed. To avoid a repeat of the 6.10 Nvidia kernel driver update delay, it's time to start the patch scramble (if required). Very few minor version updates don't require patching of the Nvidia driver for the G03->G05 drivers. The only one in recent memory was the 6.8 -> 6.9 update.
