A relatively easy solution might be to break the grep appart and not use regular expressions for the second component: grepmail -h '^Message-[Ii][Dd]' | grep -F "$MSGID" Michael

Hotspot authentication problem - 15.2

I just tried setting up a WiFi hotspot, using the network manager in Leap 15.2/KDE. I have tried both long and short passwords and get authentication error when I try to connect to it. In Windows 10, on the same computer, the hotspot works with the same password. Any ideas? tnx jk

But no. My script doesn't find: "f4sjvj$1p6$1(a)sea.gmane.org" The problem is that Midnight Commander does find it in the expected file. Which OpenVPN

I see in Yast Software Management that OpenVPN 2.5.1 is installed, but 2.4.3 is available. Why's that? 2.5.1 is from vendor obs and 2.4.3 from the main repository. I don't recall enabling obs.

where are the rpmdb and alternatives files supposed to be?

As near as I can tell, the rpm db files were (are) in /var/lib/rpm while some things seem to be accessing them in /usr/var/lib/rpm. Oddly, /lib/rpm is pointing to /etc ?? That doesn't seem right. I seem to have multiple copies of the alternatives directory: /etc/alternatives ^^ this one is full of symlinks /var/lib/rpm/alternatives /usr/var/lib/rpm/alternatives ^^ these two are full of small files Thanks, I think...

Error with Yast Network Setting

I just noticed an error when I try to open Network Settings in Yast. The computer uses Network Manager. Here is the error: Parse error while reading file /etc/sysctl.d/99-sysctl.conf YaST cannot continue and will quit. Possible causes and remedies: 1. You made a mistake when changing the file by hand, the syntax is invalid. Try reverting the changes. 2. The syntax is in fact valid but YaST does not recognize it. Please report a YaST bug. 3. YaST made a mistake and wrote invalid syntax earlier. Please report a YaST bug. Caller: /usr/lib64/ruby/gems/2.5.0/gems/cfa-1.0.2/lib/cfa/augeas_parser.rb:458:in `report_activity_error!' Details: Augeas parsing error: Iterated lens matched less than it should at /etc/sysctl.d/99-sysctl.conf:22:6, lens /usr/share/augeas/lenses/dist/sysctl.aug:38.10-.52: There is only a single line in the file 99-sysctl.conf that is not commented out. When I comment it out, Network Settings opens properly. nvidia-smi can't see the second graphic card in the system, why?

Hi, when I run nvidia-smi as root it shows me the information of both graphic cards. If I run it as a user I get only infos about the first card. Why is that so, and how can I change that? thanks, Karl
