Hi, what is $SUBJECT doing and how to debug that in more detail? On one of my systems it takes 1min 4.209s systemd-udev-settle.service at boot time which is a bit annoying. That is on TW latest on a pretty common Intel system (i5-4570, 16GB RAM, SSD) Any hints? Thanks, Wolfgang

new Thunderbird, how do I change a recipient from 'cc' to 'to' ?

I guess I got a new Thunderbird with the latest Leap 15.2 updates? from 68 to 78 ? I know it sounds stupid, but I simply cannot figure out how to change a recipient from 'cc' to 'to' (or vice versa). Broken alt-f2 (run command) on XFCE

Possible malware?

Today, I noticed my computer performance was very poor. Top showed something called .dhcpd running under user test and using almost 400% of my CPU. In ~/test, I found an executable .dhcpd. I have not used the test account for a long time. That .dhcpd also survived a reboot, so I'll have to determine how it's starting. USB microphone buttons

Hello!, Well, 2 years ago I couldn't care less about this topic, now it's a day to day thing and details matter for user experience. In my work laptop using Windows + Logitech headset, I can toggle mute of the mic using the built-in hardware button, and that is reflected on the videocall apps immediately (Zoom, MS Teams). Now, on my personal computer with a Razer Seiren X (USB microphone) and openSUSE Leap 15.2, I'm trying to achieve the same (the mic has a hardware mute button), hardware mute works but it's independent from the software mute button in Zoom or Google Meet, so you get the annoying double mute problem. I would like to achieve a single mute feature (hardware toggle is reflected in hardware & software, and software toggle is reflected in hardware & software, similar to the Logitech headset scenario). Is that something anybody in the list has already achieve?, is that an UDEV rule thing?, is that more a hardware driver thing?. Any hints are more than welcome. ispconfig

Hello, I have to build a new server (in my home, old laptop with fiber line, 256Gb ssd and 8Gb ram), to host a INN usenet instance. I try to make administration the lighter I can, and wonder if I can use ispconfig, the last tutorial with opensuse is pretty old: https://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-opensuse-12.1-x86_64-with-nginx-i… I'm not completely new with INN, some years ago I already installed one. May be ispconfig is overkill? Also, what is the recommended distribution? I can install directly Leap 15.3, I guess it is now nearly done, but what about microOS? https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:MicroOS I may appreciate to have a minimum grahical system (xfce, icewm...) any hint? thanks jdd -- http://dodin.org

15.2 KDE & DNS selection

I have two systems here, my desktop, which uses wicked for network configuration and my notebook, which uses network manager. My DHCP server (pfsense) hands out 172.16.0.1 & 8.8.8.8 and RDNSS is used to provide an IPv6 DNS address. Wicked is configured to use 172.16.0.1 & 8.8.8.8, relying on RDNSS for the IPv6 DNS address. On my desktop, resolv.conf lists both IPv4 and IPv6 DNS addresses, but my notebook only gets the IPv4 addresses. It appears wicked accepts the RDNSS info, but network manager doesn't. In network manager, on both IPv4 and IPv6 tabs, Automatic is selected. Is there some other option for RDNSS? tnx jk

Any net-install ISO for 15.3? What is a Media.iso?

root filling up

this DV6000 is running 11.4 as it only holds 2gig memory. root is filling up there was once 4gig free now down to 1.5 gig end of last year and now only 1.3 gig.
