Replacement for KTrafficAnalyzer?

Hello, I was using KTrafficAnalyzer https://sourceforge.net/projects/ktrafficanalyze/ for quite a long time to get simple information about traffic. Now this is quite old and now it is missing as official package in OpenSuSE Leap 15.2 . Which official rpm can I take as replacement? It should be as simple as KTrafficAnalyzer, no sniffer, no Nagios, no rrdtool and alike, also no commandline tool. If I have to compile from source it is also ok (KTrafficAnalyzer is compilable but then fails to run). Thanks in advance Markus

updating wpa_supplicant causes interruption of wireless network

In the last couple of days, $SUBJ has hit me twice, so I had to wonder if I could somehow prevent it? Hardware is a Nano Pi Neo Air, access is via ssh. first I patched a 15.2 Leap system, and when wpa_supplicant was updated, output over ssh just stops, although the process continues on the ARM board. (verified via a serial console). just now, I was running a zypper dup from 15.1 to 15.2, and the same thing happens. wpa_supplicant is installed, network is interrupted. Over the serial console, I can tell the wlan interface is down, which explains what happens. I don't always have the luxury of having a serial console attached, so updating could leave me with no access to the ARM board. Wicked and Systemd Dependencies

Hello List, I'm just wandering what the current status of wicked during system boot is. As far as I can tell, the network.service unit completes immediately (or after a configurable delay), whether or not network devices have completed their setup. This means that if we want to mount e.g. /usr/local from NFS, we cannot rely on systemd's dependencies. Is this a misconfiguration on my part? Resorting to an arbitrary timeout feels quite clunky. It sounds a little like it might be that Network-Manager is configuring things in “User” mode (rather than “System”). https://doc.opensuse.org/documentation/leap/reference/html/book-opensuse-re… (SECTION 28.4.1) This forum has the same question as you, but no satisfactory answers that I found: https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/513386-Wireless-network-specific… YaST, to my knowledge, does not have an way to manage per-SSID profiles. But: you can use NM to set various SSIDs into different profiles (i.e. “Cafe”). My thinking runs like this: 1) Use YaST to set up 2 profiles: “Home” and “Cafe” (for example) with permissions set as you want 2) Using NM (as “system”) assign the Wifi@Home to “Home” and other SSIDs/networks to “Cafe” I had to do very nearly the same thing to get SSH working on ethernet for a machine but NOT on Wifi (albeit on the same network). mariadb startup problem

We've had several power cuts here over the past couple of days (grrr!!!) One consequence has been that I now find that mariadb won't start. Strange or unexpected disk activity after issuing "sync".

But wait. I also noticed looking at "atop", that one disk, and one disk only of the five I have, goes 100% busy at that point (sdc) And then I noticed, running gkrellm with one chart per partition of that disk that it is only one partition which is writing a lot of stuff, slowly at about 250 KBps, for a time that can be half a minute or probably minutes (I'm still investigating). What is that partition? Well, for one thing it is the only reiserfs partition I still have: fstab entries: LABEL=c_data_reiser /data/Lareiserfs reiserfs acl,user_xattr,barrier=flush,lazytime 1 3 /data/Lareiserfs/var_spool_news /var/spool/news none bind 0 0 And for another, it contains "/var/spool/news", which is used by my nntp news proxy "leafnode". My guess is that the partition delays writing of stuff to the disk for perhaps hours. The news store contains more than a million of small files in 3 GiB, one file per message. And very scattered. root filling up

this DV6000 is running 11.4 as it only holds 2gig memory. root is filling up there was once 4gig free now down to 1.5 gig end of last year and now only 1.3 gig.
