[opensuse] usable free space on an ext4 file system

Hello: I would like to find out how much space is available for a regular user on an ext4 file system. If I know correctly the system reserves some space (~5%) for root only acces. Furthermore tune2fs' block count is 96356, differs from the above too. If I add tune2fs' reserved and free block (4817+87661) it doesn't give 96356. I would like to know how to interpret the reported block numbers and how can I calculate the space available to regular users and root. I feel that name resolution is getting more and more complicated, to what end I'm not sure. I am puzzled about what the information would be (in case all goes well). For me, I have a Samsung 850 Pro (with obviously another firmware than the other Samsung SSD 850 EVO. Now one would expect to get a list of: firmware version, serial number etc. Instead the result with me is: cat /sys/class/block/sd*/device/model Samsung SSD 850 Oops, this does not even make clear which 850 SSD this is, EVO or PRO. Is this intended? If yes, I do not have twitter. Do you happen to know by chance how to report back? [opensuse] Does LUKS volume info survive upgrade

To be more specific, I have a LUKS volume on /dev/sda3. I am about to reinstall LEAP 15.0 on /, which is on an entirely different disk. I will only redo /, and leave /home, etc. untouched. Question is: will the "passphrase", etc. continue to work after the reinstall of the OS on /, or which of the following steps, (copied from SDB[0]) cryptsetup luksFormat /dev/sda3 cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/sda3 my_secure_partion Will need to be done? Or will I need to back the partition up and redo it from scratch? Thanks. Fresh (re)install of 15.0 - many tribulations, but let's skip that for now. [opensuse] Memtest version

The version of memtest, included with 15.1, does not work with UEFI drives. I downloaded the proper version and installed it on a USB stick and it works fine. Will the version included with 15.2 work with UEFI? Given that the world is moving to it, I fail to see the point in keeping a version that doesn't work with newer computers. [opensuse] TW : crontabs not running properly

Need to reinstall 15, and was checking my old USB sticks. I note that they have 2 partitions, one with EFI/, and one (marked bootable) with the "rest" of the 3.7G of the iso. Having a fit of paranoia and wondering "is this correct"? Thanks. [opensuse] Printer with ethernet and without bluetooth: how can I convert it to be bluetooth compatible?

Is it possible to branch a pinter with ethernet in a way that I can reach it with my notebook via bluetooth? Is there a special printserver maybe? The printer is an aging Lexmark 543C that however does a marvelous service. [opensuse] Latest big upgrade garbled up TW

Dear all, In the last few days there was a big TW upgrade with more than 1300 items. I am glad, I could reboot. But... My laptop says it removed thunderbird. Well, then let's reinstall it. It says it is already installed and nothing to be done. Then let's remove it. It says there is no such software. I tried to change from CLI zypper (zypper -f did not work either) to Yast, I failed, because neither Yast nor Yast2 worked, missing some modules. I tried to save some documents, it insisted to put them in temp. I tried to run zypper dup several times, with minor success. these processes always began with trying to remove cyrus* packages that could not be done because they are not installed - said zypper. i use TW with KDE Please help, where should I begin to tidy up things?
