Hello, I try to setup html5 video as mp4 files. [opensuse] sound independent from desktop login session

Hello: I would like to play music on my computer independent from the user session. For example if I start playing music as user 1 on vt7 and user 2 logs in on vt8, the second desktop takes over sound control and turns the sound off (playing the music is not stopped at vt7, only volume is turned off). How to set sound so that it would continue playing (would not turn off volume) when the desktop is changed? I use KDE3 with ALSA and KDE4 with pulse audio. [opensuse] openSuSE 13.1 xfs issue

Hi Folks, I think I've got an interesting issue here that I thought I'd run by you before reporting it as a bug. On a 13.1 x86-64 box that's up-to-date with zypper dup I can't mount a XFS filesystem that was created with a recent openSuSE version, either 13.1 or 13.2. fdisk creates the label just fine, mkfs.xfs works as expected, but the mount fails saying: mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try dmesg | tail or so. Then, /var/log/messages says in part: Version 5 superblock detected. This kernel has EXPERIMENTAL support enabled! and a bunch of diagnostics that I'll include below. The 13.1 box has xfsprogs-3.2.4-49.1.x86_64. I think that this version of mkfs.xfs is creating a filesystem that kernel 3.11.10-29-desktop can't handle. I can understand 13.1 possibly not mounting a 13.2 filesystem, but it certainly should be able to mount a filesystem it makes itself! Has anyone else noticed this? [opensuse] windows 10 virtualbox guest os

Was just wondering if anyone has successfully installed windows 10 as a guest os in virtualbox. I have windows 7 running quite happily and I have received notification that I can upgrade to windows 10. Initial attempts failed with windows reporting cpu not compatible. After an update this is now saying that the virtualbox graphics adapter is not compatible. As I am running opensuse 13.2 as host os, I was wondering if anyone has managed a successful windows 10 guest update and if so did they have to tweak anything (in opensuse or virtualbox) in order to get it to work. Hello, I want to open a file type ics with firefox but can only see KOrganiser. Is in oS a way to search applications by supporting mime types? [opensuse] Low memory, what is that ?

A small problem bothers me. During boot I just saw a small info flashing by, saying error with low memory c000bd3c.. Wrote down the memory address but the rest of the text is just from memory (my memory ;) ). That machine with no direct tasks for now, is running memtest. It does not show any bad memory after 5 passes and will let it run the rest of the night to be sure of its condition.. [opensuse] Unable to install virtualbox - key is missing

Hi all, I still cannot install Oracle virtualbox (tried 4.3.30 and 5). I can install oS vbox, but it does not work, since it does not find the executable. With Oracle vbox, apper and other installers simply say that the installation was aborted by the user (that is me). Definitely not. Zypper says more: Signature verification failed [4-Signatures public key is not available]. What does that mean, and how can it be solved?
