[opensuse] 13.1 and screensaver

Is it just me or is there a general problem with getting any of the screensavers to work in KDE 4.12.3 64-bit? I have tried most of the 'savers including the openGL ones but while they function perfectly in 'test' mode, when selected to be used at the timed event the 'saver does not appear but instead I get the openSUSE Artwork Team theme. [opensuse] Manuals on Google Play Books

All, As their has not been any commercial offerings for openSUSE published for quite some time I published the openSUSE 13.1 manuals on Google Play Books. A lot of users particularly new users do not know these manuals exist or how to access them so hopefully this will help. I published them for free with no DRM, I choose world wide publication but they are currently only available in The US, PE and VE. I also published all of The LibreOffice manuals as well. I just started writing some commercial books on openSUSE 13.1 and LibreOffice. when they are finished I will be selling them through Google Play Books if anyone is interested. A lot of changes have taken place since the openSUSE 11.0 Bible was published which appears to currently be the newest commercial offering available. I do not know what happened to Christopher Negus but I have not seen any new content from him in a long time. [opensuse] GUI YaST button does not work, fail to start CLI YaST

Hi! I'm a new foreigner and there is some thing wrong on mine laptop. I don't know what should I do next to fix it. I can run the YaST by GUI, but there is no more action when I click on the buttons. The followings are what had happened under the CLI. sudo /usr/sbin/yast sudo /sbin/yast sudo /sbin/yast2 sudo /usr/sbin/yast2 or by su yast /usr/sbin/yast /sbin/yast Each just finished and nothing happened. kdesu /sbin/yast nothing happened after input the password kdesu /sbin/yast2 Start the YaST but as same as the GUI one. Question, On the software.opensuse.org site, if I already have a previous version of an application installed do I need to remove it to use the 1 click install for the newer version or will it over write the old version? [opensuse] install libqtgui4

In order to use the binaries for bitcoin-qt 0.9.0 I need to install libqtgui4, when I do a sudo zypper install libqtgui4 it comes back with 'libqtgui4' not found in package names, but the package is available for Debian or Ubuntu. Any ideas? [opensuse] File locations with SSD

I have a new SSD as the main drive and three 1.5TB sata drives for non-system files. My question is: Should the /tmp and /run files be moved from the SSD to the data drives to reduce writes on the SSD? If not, why? Hi there, it is able do disable creating btrfs's snapshots in opensuse 13.1 ? And - how do you creates images of your system with btrfs ? [opensuse] displaying systemd startup order?

Related to my question "How do I make systemd wait for iscsi to start before attempting to mount iscsi-based filesystems?", I've been looking at the systemd startup order. What exactly does "systemctl --order" show - the status quo or what will happen on the next start-up? I'm asking because I've added Requires=remote-fs.target to /usr/lib/systemd/system/apache2.service After a "systemctl --daemon-reload", the start-up sequence did not change as expected. I could be way wrong, but I'm not sure systemd considers iscsi filesystems to be remote?
