[opensuse] Opening attachments in Thunderbird

Hi, I don't know how I did this, but since a while I can't open e.g. pdf-attachments in thunderbird (maybe it was there from the start, but now I find it annoying). I have to save it, or open it with the gimp. I would like to open it in a regular pdf-viewer. The list in "edit/preferences/attachments" is empty. Is this normal ? Do I just search for the binaries for adobe reader or okular when asked how to open it ? [opensuse] Broadband dongles again

[opensuse] audacious and UTF-8

Hi List, last week I did an upgrade 11.2->11.4, and now I'm sorting out the glitches created by that. One of them is that XMMS is no longer available :-(( So I looked at audacious, which seems fine. But it fails on my non-ASCII playlists, claiming they are not UTF-8. But they are: snoopy:00-Index% find /home/MP3/Ace_of_Base/The_Bridge/ -type f > ../test.m3u snoopy:00-Index% file ../test.m3u ../test.m3u: UTF-8 Unicode text And things are fine in the file system: snoopy:00-Index% l /home/MP3/Ace_of_Base/The_Bridge/My_Déja_Vu.ogg -rw-r--r-- 1 pit users 4957084 Feb 26 2004 /home/MP3/Ace_of_Base/The_Bridge/My_Déja_Vu.ogg This is the file audacious is complaining about. I even get 4(!) popup-windows complaining about that file (better don't ask what happened when I had first tried to load my old xmms playlist....) So I went to Preferences->Playlist, set auto character detector for 'Universal' with fallback 'UTF-8', but nothing changes. WTF? Any ideas what to do? Or recomendations for an resonable replacement for xmms? [opensuse] Gnome applications (T'Bird and FF) have unresponsive menus in KDE

Back in the middle of march I asked about the method for opening FF links from T'bird under KDE. It used to be an entry in userpref.js but Wolfgang Rosenauer advise me to use the gconf tool http://lists.opensuse.org/archive/opensuse/2011-03/msg00545.html I'm now wondering if there is something similar to fix the log delay between clicking on a menu item in T'bird and FF (or right clicking a link or tab in FF)? I'm experiencing a delay of up to ten seconds.
