[opensuse] Remote Desktop Service on SuSE for Android Phones/Tablets

Hi, SuSE folks, We have 2 SuSE Linux servers running on our net, and we have plans to setup multi-user remote desktop loaded with apps like LibreOffice, document storage, etc. In other words, private server similar to AlwaysOnPC. It is not a problem to make 1-user system (with VNC), but we need this for all traveling employees of our company. Anyone have done this before? Or may you know a complete tutorial/walk-through how to do it so we don't have to reinvent the wheel ? [opensuse] procmail rule confusion [OFF TOPIC]

I am using procmail to filter mail I receive from OBS into imap folders. I have a few places where the sorting goes wrong, and for the life of me I cannot see why. Consider these two rules (in the procmail config file in this order): :0 * ^From:.*hermes@opensuse\.org * ^Subject:.*openSUSE_11\.2* ".Lists.SUSE Novell.OpenSuseBuildService.openSUSE_11_2/" :0 * ^From:.*hermes@opensuse\.org * ^Subject:.*openSUSE_11\.3_Update* ".Lists.SUSE Novell.OpenSuseBuildService.openSUSE_11_3_Update/" Now consider a message with this subject line: Subject: Build success of home:rogeroberholtzer/universe openSUSE_11.3_Update/x86_64 I want the message to trigger the second rule. But, based on where the message winds up, it is triggering the first rule. Consistently. The subject does not even contain the character '2'! How can it trigger the first rule? The log file says this for the message: >From hermes(a)opensuse.org Thu Apr 28 04:51:48 2011 Subject: Build success of home:rogeroberholtzer/universe openSUSE_11.3_Update/ Folder: .Lists.SUSE Novell.OpenSuseBuildService.openSUSE_11_2/new/13 1617 So I am fairly certain that it is procmail that is messing up. I have many rules like this, but a few related to my sorting of the build service have this issue. Whatever the issue is. I have banged ny head against this, but nothing seems to help. Am I blind (again...)? [opensuse] LibreOffice Spacing Bug causes Pre-defined Templates to print incorrectly

Guys, This is just a FYI follow up to an earlier post on https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35803 . This spacing bug in Libre not only affects user-created documents, but also affects all pre-defined templates that ship with Libre. If your users need to be able to create labels from the pre-defined label templates that come with Libre -- they will no longer align correctly. For example, if you try and create a simple sheet of labels for the Avery-5160 address label, the labels will not print correctly and the last row of labels will run off the bottom of the page. The labels print fine in OpenOffice, but due to the spacing bug, no longer work correctly in LibreOffice. -- David C. Suddenly I get on every file I try to open the following message: File is damaged, that's why is can't be opened LibreOffice can try to repair. OK We advise not to trust the content of the repaired document. Repair? yes answer:cannot be repaired and so not opened. General Fault What to do? I just attempted an upgrade from 11.3 to 11.4 and everything works fine except for lirc, and specifically the streamzap driver. [opensuse] dell vostro 1710 and live-cd 11.4

Tried the 11.4 live-cd on my Vostro 1710. The system booted up, things seemed to work, but the wireless card light never went on ant the slot used for camera memory chips is totally non functional. both items are fully functional in the main os of the laptop, suse 11.1 - x86-64, also in the windoze xp boot option. playing with Yast brought the message that the bcm43 firmware had to be intalled, clicked ok on it, still the wireless remained silent. Is there a way to get the wireless going in a live-cd boot? [opensuse] OpenSuse 11.3 and KDE 4.6.2 bad mix

Upgraded kde 4.5.x to 4.6.2, after upgrade, I can not logout, reboot, or shutdown the computer via the kde menu options, anyone have a fix ? I found one fix that said to be sure the following was set in kdmrc |[Shutdown] BootManager=None HaltCmd=/sbin/halt RebootCmd=/sbin/reboot But does not fix the problem | No I'm not upgrading to 11.4, 11.4 has to many problems. [opensuse] Webpin

I am trying to find which repository I should use to get eclipse but I can't find webpin. I have tried yast's webpin interface but without success I can't find the website I used to just type webpin in google and it would be number 1 but now its not even on the first page!! So where has the webpage gone? What is the correct repository for eclipse and is eclipse the best ide for fortran is it eclipse for a linux newbie?
