[opensuse] Google Earth making work

[opensuse] Why openSUSE is less popular than Ubuntu?

[opensuse] Error after updating libGLEW (for Clementine)

Hi List-members, I installed Clementine from the openSUSE multimedia repository, which forced me to install libGLEW1_7 as dependency requirement, then Clementine was usable and perfectly working for awhile until I received a warning by zypper about newer libGLEW1_7, which I provided to install. After such update however Clementine stopped to work and by trying to launch it through the command-line I seen an error on a reference which seems a translation error of a particular statement in the code (my system language is Italian). The newer libGLEW package which contains the broken files/statement is: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/games/openSUSE_12.1/x86_64/libGLE… Thus I revert back to older Clementine version which uses libGLEW1_6. Thanks for any eventual comments/suggestions. [opensuse] Downwards scrolling terminal?

Hei, a long time ago I had a terminal for X that was scrolling downwards instead of upwards. I don't actually remember if I knitted this myself somehow or if I got it from somewhere. With Google I didn't find anything but I have the silent hope that somebody here know what I am talking about and actually knows where to find it. So? Anybody? [opensuse] 12.1 - konversation - no communication with IRC server after initial connection

Hi all, I lately upgraded from 11.4 to 12.1. The upgrad was a reinstall but I kept the homedirs (NFS share). Now I can't chat on freenode, opensuse and flightgear IRC servers anymore. The connection is established, I see the typical disclaimers, etc. etc. etc. and then, when I type e.g. /join #opensuse, nothing happens. After a while, konversation shows "no answer from server since ... seconds". There is no error message or any hint. Now, interesting enough, connection to Shadowfire work without problems. [opensuse] Why no IPv6 link local address?

My firewall is an old computer running openSUSE 11.3 and I have IPv6 running on it. However, the NIC facing my cable modem does not show an IPv6 link local address, which every NIC is supposed to have, if IPv6 is enabled. The NIC facing my LAN has both link local and public unicast addresses. I had considered that something in my cable modem might be inhibiting it, but when I plug my notebook computer directly into the modem, it has a link local address. [opensuse] Can't Delete Items By Hitting Delete Button

Hi, I came across a strange issue on openSUSE 12.1. I can delete any items on the desktop or inside any folders just by selecting and hitting the delete button of the keyboard. This is with both 11.3 and 12.1 with KDE3/ I think that I upgraded my nvidia drivers in both distros. In 11.3 from an older version and in 12.1 from nouveau. Nothing noticeable in 11.3 but a major change in 12.1. screen is cleaner and sharper and video DVDs play properly, but my menus and task bar apps have gottern smaller and bearly readable. As an aside question will different drivers affect the dpi? To start with, what is the command to identify the drivers that are installed and working? Thanks. That tells me that I am using the installed G02 (390) drivrers for the kmp kernel and X11. Can't believve that is the only way tell.
