I've just installed openSUSE 12.1 on a system that previously ran 11.0. In the process, I'm also switching from UoW imap to Dovecot. I copied /var/spool/mail and the user directories, but when I connect to Dovecot, I don't see any old mail. Hi, KDE offers fonts settings (anti-aliasing and hinting) which renders the fonts well. There is no such setting for Gnome 3 other than the settings in Advance Settings. Fonts look very bad in Firefox/Thunderbird. [opensuse] Migrate Quicken to KMyMoney

My Mac is dying and I have to migrate to Linux that my roommate built. I have migrated nearly everything succesfully, except for Quicken. [opensuse] OS12.1 is there a known issue with soft-raid1 ?

Hi is there a known issue with soft-raid1 on OS12.1? I've got two PCs that won't start a soft-raid1 on reboot. I can set it up with YAST it gets mounted and I can copy files on MD0 after I close YAST. But on the next reboot apears an error that the superblock were unreadable. This happens on both machines. One is an AMD5200 with 4GB RAM and 2 x 300GB HDD. The other one is an old Pentium4, 512MB RAM, 2 x 40 GB HDD. So they are pretty different but show the same problem. [opensuse] How do I set permissions for user to install and update with Apper without needing root? KDE module broken.

I need to set permissions for a user to use Apper for updating and installing programs. But I wanted to understand what's the supported way to handle my use case, since this is a rather standard usage of OpenVPN and there's not much customization going on beyond declaration of certs and IP addresses. So I looked again at openvpn's package content and found /usr/share/doc/packages/openvpn/sample-scripts/client-netconfig.{up,down} which encode netconfig usage. I really thought I checked there but seemed to have overlooked these files.
