[opensuse] Trying to install gogoNet client.

I'm trying to install the gogoNet IPv6 over IPv4 client from http://gogonet.gogo6.com/page/download-1 I have unpacked the Linux source code and am trying to make the package according to the provided instructions: Complete the following steps to install the gogoCLIENT from the source code: 1. Retrieve the source code (*.tgz or *.zip archive) and decompress it to a temporary direc- tory. 2. Go to the tspc-advanced directory and type: make target=osname all where osname = freebsd, linux, darwin, netbsd or openbsd The system will then proceed to compile the gogoCLIENT. Executing the gogoCLIENT requires the files listed below: The gw6c binary file (gw6c) located in the bin directory A sample gw6c.conf file The template subdirectory containing the operating system scripts To install the gogoCLIENT in the /usr/local/gw6c directory with the necessary files, run the following command: make target=osname installdir=/usr/local/gw6c install However, when I try the make command, it complains it can't find the g++ command. I have tried to install some appropriate package, using Software Management, but without result. [opensuse] 11.0 - kde44 breaks Gnome - I need help connecting the dots... Gnome & KDE Devs Help, please....

Listmates, There is no question about it, there is something new in kde44 that breaks Gnome. Gnome will still start, but the appearance and themes are broken, and many of the systray apps are broken. For example, the volume control in gnome is completely broken, the error for the volume crash offers to "Reload" the volume for you, but when you click "Reload" the volume control immediately crashes again. (sound works, you just can't change the volume) Opposite to what is broken in gnome, all the gtk setting work fine in kde44. You gnome appearance setting like theme, colors, font size, font, etc. all are properly displayed with gimp, firefox, etc. run in kde, but all are completely broken in Gnome??? Go figure. I don't know how this could be happening. Gnome settings are supposed to work in gnome -- you could expect problems in kde -- but not the opposite. The symptoms and broken apps in gnome are: - volume control crashes - gnome settings daemon crashes - all theme elements (font-size, colors, background, etc..) That is one helluva deal when you can't even change the background) - compiz - blackscreens. You can spin the cube, but the cube faces are black (probably related to not being able to set the background) I need help figuring out what in kde44 is causing this problems. I know the gnome settings daemon crash is related to a lot of it, but why should that kill volume control? What is it that is new with kde44 that would be killing the gnome setting daemon in 11.0? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Hi, has anyone been able to compile Pidgin 2.6.x with video & audio support from the source tarball? The configure process goes fine until it reaches this point: --- [... lots of configure messages here ...] checking for gconftool-2... /usr/bin/gconftool-2 Using config source xml::/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.schemas for schema installation Using $(sysconfdir)/gconf/schemas as install directory for schema files checking for GSTREAMER... yes checking for gst_registry_fork_set_enabled in -lgstreamer-0.10... yes checking for GSTINTERFACES... no checking for FARSIGHT... yes configure: error: Dependencies for voice/video were not met. Install the necessary gstreamer and farsight packages first. Or use --disable-vv if you do not need voice/video support. --- Any ideas? Or, is there any package our there with video/audio already compiled in? I remember those from the Packman repository didn't enable it. That was in the days before ext3. Why is the auto fsck annoying? I find the feature reassuring -- I would not WANT to go forever with no clue as to the state of my harddrive. Is it the delay that is annoying? If so, let your friend see the boot messages scrolling by, and the fsck progress bar. Hi, I am staying in a hotel and for some reason I can't connect to the internet with wireless to the hotel router using kinternet. I went back through some old posts to the mailing list and found that I can scan for the available wireless routers via command line. I used iwlist wlan0 scan to find a list of the available wireless routers. The one that I think has the highest power provides the following information: Cell 04 - Address: 00:03:52:A9:88:00 ESSID: "Hyatt" Protocol: IEEE802.11b Mode: Master Channel: 1 Encryption Key: Off Bit Rates: 11 Mb/s Extra: Rates (Mb/s): 1 2 5.5 11 Quality=86/100 Signal Level=-65dBm Noise level=-113dBm Extra: Last beacon: 181ms ago My question is, what commands with the terminal do I use to connect to this router? [opensuse] cyrus sieve strangeness

Hi, I'm running 11.1 on my cyrus mailserver and used to write my sieve scripts manually on the server. That worked fine. Now I'm trying to use a remote tool to control sieve but have problems with that: I can log in correctly remotely but once the tool calls "LISTSCRIPTS" the server just says OK without giving any information about my used script. HI all, My lady friend's daughter has a nintendo game machine, which she loves. Anyway I found a place where I can d/l allot of games for her. BUT could someone tell me how to move the games from my system to her little machine. I looked at a nintendo chip and its not like anything I use. I'm using 11.2 and 11.0.
