So I decide to open a feature request about the below at features.opensuse.org for this. Much to my surprise only OpenSUSE members are allowed to create features. What's up with that? [opensuse] Is there a way to take a customized FF to another user?

Hi, As i have to install a lot lately, i also have to create new users. This means new /homes, with bold, plain ff. My question is how to 'import/export' or copy all the addons and settings to another user? And your report is the first I've seen. As a workaround you might add /etc/resolv.conf to NTPD_CHROOT_FILES of /etc/sysconfig/ntp. But I like to understand why resolv.conf is needed in your case but not in so many others. Yes, please file a bug report. [opensuse] ssh problem

Hello, all of a sudden I cannot ssh connect to my providers webserver anymore, either as user, as root nor in a virtualbox/winXP/putty... There are some "funny" things: - I can ssh to other servers of the same provider, but not to "mine" - I can ssh from my Computer in Basel/Sitzerland to "my" server, but not from here in Barcelona/Spain The ISP - of course - says, the problem is on my side, but I can't find out anything... Can you help? OpenSuse 10.3. I attach a working and non-working "report" of the console dialog with verbose option below. [opensuse] nomachine nxclient on SuSE 11.1 doesn't work

Has anyone been able to get the nxclient from www.nomachine.com to work on SuSE 11.1 I get Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified nxclient: cannot connect to X server :0.0 Alternatively, has anyone gotten freenx-client to work? If so, how? Lance Drager

[opensuse] Suse 11.1 Monitor Resolutions

I'm currently running Suse 11.0 using a monitor capable of 1440x900. But there is not support for 1440x900, so I have been running the monitor at 1280x768. Does Suse 11.1 support 1440x900 resolution? [opensuse] Stubborn screen blanking under OS11.1

Hi, For a few weeks now my OpenSUSE 11.1 desktop PC has arbitrarily decided to blank the screen after 6 minutes of inactivity. Nothing that I have tried so far has managed to modify this behaviour. I tried: * disabling screensaver * under > Configure Desktop > Advanced > Power Management Assign the same profile to all scenarios and disable screen power management for that profile * Using SaX2 to modify DPMS settings but Sax2 keeps reporting circular syntax errors in xorg.conf when trying to save so I gave up. * editing xorg.conf to set Option "DPMS" to "false" I saw this issue brought up in the past on the forum and this mailing list but no solution was provided so I am taking my chance.
