[opensuse] Dragon Player is mute in SuSE 11.1

Hi, people I've recently installed SuSE 11.1 and have just found out that Dragon Player is completely mute. No sound is heard, although it seems to be playing the files. I've tried with several types of files (mp3, ogg, avi, mpg, wmv, etc.) and nothing changes. This files can be correctly played with other applications, such as mplayer. Is there an additional package a should install to get sound the sound working on Dragon Player? [opensuse] nvidia and new kernel

I have NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-180.29-pkg2.run installed. I plan to: 1. Deinstall it 2. Upgrade to yesterdays new security update kernel using yast 3. Reinstall it Is this correct? Hi, When Jim Henderson suggested Filelight as a tool to detect aberrent disk usage, I figured I'd check it out, even though at the moment I dont' have any problems such as Kai's. I installed it and ran it and I noticed that it generates a beep for each downward increment of the mouse wheel (but not for upward). So (for the hell of it, which succeeded) I gave the mouse wheel a good long downward spin and the sound system when nuts repeating system beeps without end. I finally got it to stop by opening the KDE Control Center (now called Personal Settings), going to the Sound and Multimedia -> Sound System and clicking the "Test Sound" button. This cancelled the repeating beep and played the test sound. Once.
