[opensuse] Error downloading new theme for plasma...

Hi, When I try to download a new theme, I get the following error : "Could not load data providers". I think it is something to do with the company firewall blocking the access. On my son's laptop, I went to reboot this morning. (I was trying to see why I couldn't connect via ssh.) On boot, I got a message that /tmp was full and that the desktop manager would not start. What do I do? [opensuse] Changing disk IDs!!

I just upgraded a socket 939 MB to an Athelon 5000 socket AM2 so I can use AMD-V, but, for some strange reason, the HD device IDs seem to have changed (same 250GB SATA HD - the original root partition is not found). The disk shows fine in Repair System Partition Manager, .. and the IDs look similar, but I cannot figure out a way to compare them to the entries in fstab. > When booting the Repair System, all partitions show mounted on / and cannot be unmounted; > When dropping to shell after RS, the partitions are still mounted; > While IN RS, there is no way to launch a terminal session to edit the entries in fstab. I am hesitant to try any of the automatied repair options, .. can anyone suggest a way to both edit the original /etc/fstab entries while seeing the 'new' device IDs in the Partition Manager? Hi all, I created two different users. How is it that I am able to view and copy files using Dolphin from another user directory to my directory? I shouldn't be able to see the other user's directory. I'm using openSUSE 11.1. Cheers! Hi all, I'm thinking about setting up an on-line used book store, BUT the thought of type in maybe 1000's of titles etc is too much. SO does anyone know of Linux software for a book store where I can use a barcode scanner to input book titles? Just got a digital slr. Been looking at photo mags. they describe doing things in Photoshop etc So is there somewhere a guide to reading Photoshop directions and translating them into Gimp directions? [opensuse] 11.1 / KDE4.2 Stable / apparent kwin crashing

Hi all I'm getting a lot of kwin crashes where the screen goes black but everything is still running - even Alt TAB works by showing the apps running. I am assuming its always kwin but i've only had one "kwin crashed" messaged displayed. The only way out is "Alt - Backspace" twice except for the one time when i got the message where it refreshed itself. [opensuse] Gnome-Do plugins missing in action

I've recently updated gnome-do from the repos and now have 0.8.0-2.1. Unfortunately my plugins are no longer working. Any idea on how to get these back?
