[opensuse] kaddress book problem

openSUSE 11.0 (2.6.25.16-0.1-pae), KDE 3.5.9.release 49.1, Kontact 1.2.9 kaddressbook 3.5.9 Having Addressbook problems. when I go into Kontact--->Contacts I cannot add new contact, also all previously deleted addressees show up as blank lines (name only). So it says I have 548 contacts. When I highlight the blank lines the old user name appears, if I highlight and delete all blank lines it then says I have 199 contacts. If I try to file--->save it gives me the following error (also get this on exit of Contact): Unable to get access for saving the address book Resource When I reboot all 548 addresses are back. Does anyone know where this address book is stored? ~/.kde/share/kabc has Vcards, 20 of them all the same. Can I delete any of them. I checked permissions on Kab, Kabc, Kaddressbook against my other 11.0 system, 11.0, KDE 4.12 and they are the same. Did not find any recent bugs like this on Bugzilla. [opensuse] Blue video in all video apps openSUSE 11/Gnome

Hi, I have a Lenovo notebook X61, with OpenSUSE 11 and GNOME. Video was working just fine, until last Online Update. Now, any video I'll try to see shows a blue screen. I've read a similar thread for KDE, and tried changing "intel" to "i810" in xorg.conf, but then X just stop working. [opensuse] a question about audit

Does anyone know how to get audit to see the command strings on the command itself. I know I can get that if I install PaX and GSCSecur, but both require kernel hooks. The boxes that I am working on are in production and there no way I can do rebuild kernel. We have audit installed, but we cant's see command line parameters. Last command and sa are set up, but the same issue. All major items seem to be recognized fine (graphics, network, sound), but the kernel doesn't seem to find the wireless chipset. lspci just reports: 0c:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corp. [opensuse] ohci_hcd & ehci_hcd with Hi-Speed USB2

Hi all, I have a new USB2 Hi-Speed external HD, but it only transfers about 1 MB/s with my current OpenSUSE 10.3. Some time ago with OpenSUSE 10.2 I also had a speed problem. I think the problem was something about the loading order of ohci_hcd and ehci_hcd at boot or when the device is attached. I can't remember anymore, and clusty.com could not help either. In tail -n30 /var/logs/messages I see (~1MB/s System): usb 1-3: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 3 when it is attached. On the faster system (~25MB/s) it says: usb 1-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 2 I see two differences: "full speed" vs. "high speed" and "ohci_hcd" vs. "ehci_hcd" Does someone know the trick to get the fast USB2 transfer going? [opensuse] efax-gtk problem

Dear friends Another time I am asking the help to community for an unsolved problem, I am trying to use my old analogical mode as fax by efax-gtk. At now I am able to send fax starting efax-gtk as root but I can’t receive fax. I think the reason could be the lacking of configuration of printing in efax-gtk (I have a hp laserjet connected on parallel port that obviously is able to print). At this regard I am interesting to send this file to file rather to paper printer # ecological-suse :-). [opensuse] Tearing down connections too fast

We have this continuing issue - we have the same software talking to the same mainframe. On the solaris to mainframe side, we send a fin,ack, the mainframe sends back a fin,psh,ack, solaris sends an ack. On linux, we send the same fin, ack to the mainframe then immediately send rst,ack. How do I tell why the linux side sent the rst? Or how do i tell it not the send a rst, just to test? Other ideas? I looks to us that the linux side says "okay, we're done, see ya bye" in two packets. Hi all, I'm running Opensuse 10.2 with Openvpn 2.0.9 I need the feature to read passwords from a file with the --auth-user-pass options. In all the rpm's I tried this feature was disabled. Is there any rpm around which is compiled with this option? or do I have to build openvpn from source?
