Dear friends Another time I am asking the help to community for an unsolved problem, I am trying to use my old analogical mode as fax by efax-gtk. At now I am able to send fax starting efax-gtk as root but I can’t receive fax. I think the reason could be the lacking of configuration of printing in efax-gtk (I have a hp laserjet connected on parallel port that obviously is able to print). At this regard I am interesting to send this file to file rather to paper printer # ecological-suse :-). Thanks in advanced for the help -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

There is an open source fax server: hylafax. Try to use this one, it's quite powerful. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

IMO, hylafax is a far better package. Surely more complex, too, but once set it works reliably. It can be used as a fax server over the network, even from windows clients. I can't help you with efax-gtk, I haven't used it. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. I need just a simple fax utility for my pc not a complex server that fit for a office however i am really grateful for the availability and suggestion -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I know, but I use it at home :-) I'm sorry I can't help you with a simpler program. Maybe efax has a web page with a faq or some other type of help? - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
