[opensuse] PHP Question

Hi all, After turning off PHP global variables this line will no longer work. <form method="post" action="<?php echo $PHP_SELF?>"> When I use the form the source looks like this: <form method="post" action=""> So, the problem is $PHP_SELF. Can someone tell me what to use instead? Thanks! [opensuse] UNKNOWN FORMAT FOR JPEGS IN KONQUEROR

Hi guys, I am new to this community help thing, so please bare with me... I can't view jpegs in Konqueror. It does not recognize the format. I think I accidentally changed the setting for jpegs in Konqueror, but I am not sure exactly what it was. I can view jpegs in digicam, but not in konqueror. When I do a properties in konqueror, for "format" it is unknown. I think it is looking at the jpegs as a text document. [opensuse] how to enable figer print reader?

My HP nw8440 laptop has a fingerprint reader. My compatriots who also have this device (and are running vista) have easily been able to configure this such that when prompted to login, they simply swipe their finger. [opensuse] still having problems

I can not subscribe even under a new address. Last time I posted to the list but only received off list replies. So again I try to subscribe via two different addresses. This is now the fourth time. What is wrong with the list host. At the very list a new address on a different host should be able to subscribe even if something has gone wrong on the original. [opensuse] This is getting silly

I first try to resubscribe, having no message that I am bouncing. Second I write both webmasters for opensuse and myrealbox. Still no results. What is wrong here? [opensuse] Upgrade OpenSuSE 10.2 with latest kernel 2.6.21 (because hpt366 module crashed with 2.6.18)

Hello, i recently bought a Highpoint RocketRaid 133 PATA Adapter. The adapter is equipped with 4 single disks (no RAID configuration). Unfortunately the hpt366 driver crashed after scanning the devices. I tried to download the latest kernel for OpenSuSE 10.2 from /download/Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_10.2 but installing the kernel fails because of the depandency problems: error: Failed dependencies: perl-Bootloader >= 0.4.14 is needed by kernel-default-2.6.21-32.1.i586 apparmor-profiles <= 2.0.1 conflicts with kernel-default-2.6.21-32.1.i586 apparmor-parser <= 2.0.1 conflicts with kernel-default-2.6.21-32.1.i586 Are there any repositories containing newer version of the mentioned packages (in factory ?) [opensuse] Issues with the latest samba update

3-0-24-18-1-56 worked fine on SuSE 10.0 and OpenSuSE 10.2 systems without exhibiting the problems mentioned below. The problems surface when Samba is upgraded to samba-3.0.24-22.1.57. 1) On OpenSuSE 10.2 systems: Using samba completely standalone with an smbpasswd back end. After upgrading, cannot map drives from Windows systems. Windows clients say "Path not found". Looking in Samba logs with debugging logs shows: [2007/04/27 12:56:06, 10] smbd/msdfs.c:parse_dfs_path(54) parse_dfs_path: hostname: whou102mob2 [2007/04/27 12:56:06, 3] smbd/msdfs.c:get_referred_path(527) get_referred_path: .root$. in dfs path \whou102mob2\root$ is not a dfs root. [2007/04/27 12:56:06, 3] smbd/error.c:error_packet(146) error packet at smbd/trans2.c(4977) cmd=50 (SMBtrans2) NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE Samba logs and smb.conf is available if needed. 2) On Suse 10,0 systems: Using Samba integrated with AD via Kerberos, using idmap_rid. See same errors as above after upgrading. OpenSuSE 10.2 systems integrated with AD via Kerberos and using idmap_rid work fine (at least so far). Has anyone else seen issues with this latest Samba update? And also would anyone know where I can find 3-0-24-18-1-56 RPMS? [opensuse] How to set up Dual Monitors?

>From simply plugging in the monitor and booting into openSUSE 10.2 I can use both displays and the move windows between them, however, they have their own kmenu's as well as quick launch and desktop buttons... I don't seem to see any settings for working with dual monitors so any advice/help would be very appreciated.
