[opensuse] Upgrade doesn't recognize filesystem

With help from others I am now able to get openSuSE to recognize all of my drives; however, When I click on show all drives and indicate my root partition the installation program doesn't recognize the file system for any of the drives. All of the drives, except for swap, are EXT3. I have tried telling the install program my file system is : EXT3, EXT3-fs, ext3-fs, ext3, and (native linux) EXT3. none of which work. [opensuse] Dell D620 + OpenSuSE 10.3

Anybody got the Wi-Fi working on a Dell D620? I've searched on Google and come up with some information about using the bcm43-fwcutter and loading the broadcom firmware drivers which I have done. Network devices in Yast finds the wireless adapter and labels it as a BCM4312. I've loaded drivers / firmware for the BCM43xx, BCMLegacy and BCM43 Any help as always greatly appreciated. [opensuse] Canon IP90V printer problem

Have IP90V printer that I have been trying to get to work with SuSE 10.3 with no success. I have installed cnijfilter-common-2.70-1.i386.rpm and cnijfilter-ip90-2.70-1.i386.rpm via yast. When I setup the printer, it sets up fine, then do a test, cups says it is processing, but that goes forever and nothing prints. Tried installing cnijfilter-common-2.70-2.src.rpm which is supposed to be an update, but with yast I get "Following packages haven't been found on the medium: cnijfilter-common" Tried installing with rpmbuild but end up with unitelligible errors, at least to me they are unintelligible. Tried adding the directory wehre the RPM is to the repositories, but that does not work. The instructions from Canon on their site are in Japanese, so they are of no help. Any suggestions on how to get this thing to work are welcome. [opensuse] Network Bridge! Which Firewall Zone?

Dear list, I installed VirtualBox. Therefor I set up a Network Bridge. Now I have: eth0 = physic. card, connected to the router IP 0.0.0.0 vbox0 = interface used by Virtualbox br0 = Bridge DHCP With Firewall turned off, networking is no problem. VBox Guest and br0 receive their IP via DHCP from router. But when I turn firewall on the VBox guest has no connection anymore. You can use GIMP. It is not well documented and took me a while until I found it. The easy path is: 1- Use layers as if each layer was a frame of your animation. 2- Save it as gif. It will asked you whether to save it as an animation or as indexed. Save it as animation :) 3- You'll be asked for some parameters such as the time between frames. Choose the right ones for you. 4- If you want an image to stay more than the others (the first image for example), just duplicat the layer. [opensuse] Blue screen whenever trying to view video

I have a Dell Inspiron 1150 with an Intel 855 video card. Prior to installing 10.3 I had no problem playing any kind of video via MPlayer, Xine, Kaffeine or any other video player. With 10.3 all I get is a blue screen on any video player I try. I can hear the audio for any movie/video I try to play. I have googled and searched the opensuse lists and forums and tried everytghing from settin the vga on boot to changing the video drivers in the settings menu. Nothing works, My wite's Dell has a real video card in it and works fine with 10.3. Any suggestions are appreciated.
