[SLE] Mirroring the KDE: repository

Hello, in my LAN I have several SUSE Linux 10.1 workstations (around 20) whose owners I managed to try Linux full time. In order to make my life easier (and reduce bandwidth costs) I have made a local installation server and a local update server, which I rsync daily. All the workstations now update perfectly and life is good. Now, I would like to offer the KDE repository (you know, the one with KDE 3.5.3) but I'd like this repository to stay updated, thus, a good candidate for rsync. But I haven't found a rsync-enabled server (or mirror) for this repository. I there such a thing? [SLE] Backing Out Kernel Update

Is there a way to back out a kernel update as applied via YOU? Whenever I update the kernel I need to re-install VMWare and the NVIDIA driver. This has always worked well for me in the past but it always makes me nervous. I'd feel better if I knew how to back it out. I have 9.3. Why during 'smart --gui' running installation of updates would I see this message in the log window twice in succession - e.g. between Samba and OpenOffice.org, and more elsewhere, and yet again when the overall process has apparently finished without any announcement to that effect? It seems the only purpose it could serve is to cause a scare from lack of apparent progress with the % unchanged for and extended time for a big package. -- "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." [SLE] invisible kdar

I just installed kdar (via YaST) and ran it from the SUSE System/Backup menu. Nothing shows up on screen! There is a kdar process running. strace -p shows: read(9, Anybody have any idea what the problem is? I'm running SUSE 9.3 with a Gnome/Metacity desktop. [SLE] Help with a startup script

Hi, I am running a program called rundns, which checks my dymanic ip address and adjusts it to keep my domain name pointed to my ip. I'd like to have it run on boot to runlevels 3 & 5. I downloaded a script from the developer's web site and advised me to place it in /etc/init./rc3.d and rc5.d respectively. Problem is that dosen't seem to work. The script is called S98rundns and has permissions of -rwxr-xr-x. I notice that most other scripts here are links to other files, but not sure how to set this up. In any case rundns does not run on boot to runlevel 5, or init 3. It shows as a failed service. The rundns binary is in /usr/bin and works find when started with the command line.
