[SLE] rbldnsd anyone?

Is anyone here running rbldnsd? I've got it running on SUSE 10.1, and reported a problem to the rbldnsd list a while ago. This was to do with odd reporting of time in syslog-messages written by rbldnsd. The rbldnsd author cannot reproduce the problem, but suspects a glibc problem. [SLE] protected packages in yast software manager

Hello all: This regards to SUSE 10.0: In the package manager of yast several packages are labeled 'protected', eg many of the kde update packages. How could I remove protection and make these packages labeled as the regular normal packages? [opensuse] What wrong with opensuse10.1. Is it time to leave?

I have no tried to install Opensuse 10.1 for the fourth time. Everything is ok after the install are finished. I use Yast to take the first update on the system and then the "fun" begin. Some of the updates do not like my AC 97 sound. before I did the update the sound is fine, but after it is choppy, it seams my system is working on a heavy load. My cd sound is fine, but the start sound on KDE is twice as long as it shall.Playing streamig radio on Amarok give small dropouts in the sound. Zen now tell my that: Transaction failed: Package transaction failed: You do not have the required access level (superuser) for this method. I did give it root password on the first start. My opensuse 10.0 work fine, also after the last update, last night. [SLE] More Wireless Networking

Have read the earlier posts on wireless, but as I'm running 10.1 Live DVD I don't have a CD 6. Machine is Gateway Laptop with Intel Pro 2200BG wireless. How do I start with getting it running and configured. [SLE] kernel-default-2.6.16.21-0.13

This came through as an update on Smart a couple of days ago. However, if I run it, lm-sensors goes up the spout and I get no motherboard information any more. Anyone else noticed this, or know of a workaround? Everything works fine with the old stock kernel, kernel-default-2.6.16.13-4. Today, I ran YOU to see if there were any patches. First, it downloaded and installed a single Yast package and then popped up a message saying I should run YOU again. This happened again on that update. Only on the third update did it download and install more or less 20 updates. So, it looks like it at least attempts to get the Yast patches installed and updated before trying to handle other packages. No bad feelings! OK, I've not asked about an alternative to Totem, but, as a newcomer, any information is welcome! I'm trying to use Totem just because it is included with SLED 10. And some browsing has shown me that it could work, But it doesn't. Ot at least not yeat! So, Masaru Nomiya, thanks for your inputs. I'll will try to catch up with Totem, as I'm new to Linux, I'm new to Totem as well! And give it a try to MPlayer. But I have to agree with John at an important point, I think: is it too much to ask that a package work? Ok, I'm sure I have not got the Linux's point yet, but it is a bit boring to see how difficult seems to run a AVI file. At least working with my plain-old Toshiba. [opensuse] Why?

Hi all, Recently I've updated one of my machines from 10.0 to 10.1; obviously the main problem has been the problematic libzypp update. I have an instalation and update mirrors in my LAN (and a packman repository mirror too); both are really updated everyday via rsync. So, my idea about zen-update problem was "ok, no problem, I put the path of local YOU mirror and go on" but... not. The problem was really easy but hard to find out: now, the YOU mirrors are added from "Change installation sources". So, ¿why? I think the previous method (add the repositories in YOU interface itself) was more clear. Another question ¿why the YaST package manager shows me an error from packman repository about the security of it? And, one more and last question ¿Is there some way to deinstall zen-updater without libraries dependencies?
