[SLE] YOU Problem

I went into YOU today and there are a number of patches needing to be installed. I say ACCEPT and get back the following -- Can't install mono-web-1.1.13.8-2.4i586[20060610-171801], since mono-web-1.1.13.8-2.4i586[20060522-135079] is already marked as needing to be installed. The choices are to not install 171801, not install 135079, or ignore the conflict. Logically, I would think I'd want to not install 171801 so that I could get the earlier patch installed first, so that was my first choice. The message just pops right back up. I tried the other choices out of frustration, and they aren't accepted either (the same set of choices keeps coming back up). I even tried eliminating the mono patch from the install entirely, but the message still pops up. How can I get around this problem? [SLE] SuSE 10.1 and ATI Mobility Radeon X1400

Hi There, Im a first time SuSE user (long time linux 'user') and have installed 10.1 on my Toshiba Tecra A6, which has a Mobility Radeon X1400 card. I have the drivers installed and working as expected... but am having some trouble getting multiple monitors setup. Is there any one who has this setup and working correctly, or is this not the place to discuss? I am trying to get it running so that i have the external LCD monitor running at 1280x1024 and the main laptop monitor off... I just cant seem to get this working with any tools that are available (ATI or otherwise). Thanks for any response in advance! [SLE] Webmin 64 bit?

I recently installed webmin-1.290-1.noarch.rpm on my 64 bit SUSE 10.1 system. According to the package name, it's "noarch". Does this mean it compiles for the CPU on installation? Or it doesn't care if it's installed on various distros? Is there any simple method to tell if an app is 64 or 32 bit? tnx jk

That fixed the octal problem. However, I'd still like to use /etc/samba/smbfstab (with a 'credentials' file) instead of /etc/fstab, but I can't get that to work. Is there a HOWTO that you can point me to, other than the man page. [SLE] sync KDE with a treo 700p phone

Hi list; I just got a new treo 700p phone. I was able to sync with my treo 600 via kpilot however I cannot sync with the treo 100p. [SLE] SUSE10.1 demo version

I have a magazine cover disk CD of a SUSE10.1 demo version. On booting, there is the choice of running it as a KDE Live CD, a Gnome live CD, or installing it on the hard drive. I don't know if this is a 'cut-down' beta version or the final version. If I install it, will it be a good example of the purchased version (less many packages, of course) and give me a good idea as to what the full version will be like, or does it fundamentally differ from the bought edition? I'd like to test it before considering buying, especially as my 10.0 is running well. I can't find anything about this demo version either on the SUSE site, or with Google. [SLE] moving my current installation

I have a fully up to date v9.3 system on a 40Gb harddrive. I want to transfer this installation to a new 160Gb harddrive. I want to remove the old 40Gb and trash it. (It's several years old an I want to change it before it fails). [SLE] mozilla suite print defaults

Hello, Can someone point me to a definitive howto on cifs mounts on Suse/Linux.
