[opensuse] OpenOffice "crashes" on exit from slideshow

Hi all, I have SuSE 10.2 installed, and have just noticed that if I present a slideshow in OpenOffice (the version bundled with 10.2) the thing "crashes" when you exit a slideshow. It's curious, it doesn't seem to die per se, nor do any damage, but it insists that it crashed and must recover the file. Maybe it really did crash, but the file didn't really need recovery, since no changed had been made. It doesn't (so far at least) seem to damage anything, but it's a bit odd, and slightly worrying. 10.2 beta 2

Today was supposed to be the day for 10.2 beta 2 to be released. So far I have not been able to locate it. Does anyone have insight into when this will appear? Cheers, Bob

[opensuse] Need explanation - question 1

Hello SuSE people Recently installed 10.2 on a new hard drive. Triple boot all on their own harddrives. I gave 10.2 a 3GB partition for / I also made separate partitions for /tmp, /var, and /home, each 10GB in size. I went to update 10.2 and was warned that the / partition is 97% full. How can that be? Does everthing on the DVD install into / ?? Now, do I have to reinstall 10.2 after making the / partition much larger ?? Some please explain what the problem is here. Please ?? [opensuse] Asus P4P800 ( ICH5R ) problem when installing openSUSE 10.2

Hi all, Hope someone can help me: I own a P4P800 Deluxe, with a ICH5R chipset, a DVD+-RW Drive ( PATA ) and a HD ( SATA ). When I select the install option, upon booting from the dvd, a while later appears a message that says that it cannot find the dvd. Also, the manual installation program claims that it cannot find any dvd/cd-rom. The HD is detected though... What can I do solve this. I'm running SuSE 10.1 like a charm... [opensuse] rsync syntax

Hi All, I need to start synchronizing a 'live' website, nightly, with the 'master' copy residing under ~/public_html/ on my local box. I have user account level ssh access to the server and, when I log in, it 'lands' me at /home/user/ ('~/'), directly above the 'live' website directory at ~/public_html/ (is symlinked to ~/www/). I'm sure there are many people on this list who know how to do this. I *sort of* know since I use rsync locally on a daily basis. However, the 'live' site lives on a production box and just don't feel like experimenting. :-) Any recommendations/advice on the correct syntax to use with rsync? Problem with procmail
