But if you have already gone that route - it seems you do not have libcairo-swt.so in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH when you run your application. You also need path to "bundle" libraries to be included in your LD_LIBRARY_PATH as well (they are located somewhere in <eclipse>/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/bundles folder - the path after "bundles" part depends on your Eclipse version). You have to set the variable every time you run your application, so you need to write some sort of startup script or modify your environment so it will be set by default. [opensuse] 10.2: what are the update differences?

Hi list, While I still work with 10.0 I installed 10.2 in a small partition as a second boot option, so I can play, learn and get used to it. Install was easy. Now I wonder about the differences in the update tools: there is "online update" in Yast and the orange exclamation mark in the control bar. While "online update" showed just a few lines, the orange thing showed a much larger list. I decided to use this one (more is better, isn't it? ;-) ). After downloading a while it said, it was successful, but the exclamation mark remained orange. So I clicked it again, it dowloaded again, was successful again, and finally the icon was changed. I opened Yast again, clicked "online update" and the list was gone, just the M$-fonts (which I havn't downloaded) was still there. Can somebody please tell me what's the difference between those update methods? Is everything in "online update" also in the orange exclamation mark, but not vice-versa? Or are these completely different things? Hi, I'm facing this problem with OpenSuse 10.2: Some times (perhaps every 6/10 startups) the startup of opensuse 10.2 jams at precisely the point where it says "Activating Device mappings", soon after the swap partition is enabled with priority -1. The system stop responding, however, after a couple of restarts it starts normally. The opensuse 10.2 Failsafe, always starts without any problems. Any clues? [opensuse] 10.2 install problems. Lost 1 cpu

I have a HP Pavilion a1520n computer: Asus A8N-LA (Nagami2) motherboard; dual-core Athlon 64 X2 3800+; 250 GB SATA disk (plus an added 200 GB disk for Linux). SuSE 10.1 was installed, without significant problems. There were some inconvenient features after installation (e.g., no ethernet connection after reboot from WinXP, unless the power cord is pulled off for a bit), but it basically works fine. I knew that some of the problems were fixed up in 10.2, and was eager to install it. I downloaded the DVD x86_64 iso (also the CD1 iso), and burned disks. All md5sums are OK. About a dozen lines or so after starting the install, I encountered the line "Starting udev ..." and the installation hung. (Reported as bug 229217 and unresolved. The status is 'Needinfo', but there is no way to get a log file.) This occurs with both the DVD and CD1. I had read that disabling ACPI was a workaround. Yes, but: during the installation menu/setup screens, the installer searches for all hardware, but does NOT find any hard disks. I had seen messages about problems with the sata-promise driver, but that is not relevant. The driver turns out to be sata-nv (GeForce 6150LE/nForce 430/MCP51). I had read that setting 'maxcpus=0' might be a workaround. OK. I was able to install SuSE 10.2. I'm still working of configuring it the way I want. (It would be much easier if the import/export feature of SuSE 10.0 was still available in the Software Manager. There is a long-standing 'critical' bug report, with no progress.) My problem is that I now appear to have only 1 cpu available. xosview shows only one, and the hardward list has only 1 entry, and 'top' identifies only 1 cpu. If the 'maxcpus=0' boot option is removed, the computer will not boot. It appears to me that the SMP features of the kernel are all set in the active configuration list. [opensuse] PHP 5 and Apache on Suse 10

Hello, The default install of Suse 10 for Apache and PHP seems to be for PHP4. I'd like to install PHP5 for Apache with all the Apache modules linked to PHP5. If done through YAST, should I first uninstall Apache and PHP4 and reinstall with PHP5? I don't want to hose anything.
