SuSE x86_64 and java

Hi All, Just installed by boxed 9.2 on my AMD 64 platform and was surprised to notice java was not integrated with mozilla as is on the i386 install I have running on another of my platforms. Sure would like to see java working here but not sure what's up. Could anyone please lend a hand? Thanks in advance, Phil

9.3 and wlan interface

I've recently upgraded from 9.0 to 9.3 and that had several issues leading to a complete re-install :-( Now, while trying to configure my wlan interface I am getting several errors :- (It worked fine in 9.0) 1) It seems to be identified in Yast as wlan-id....MAC Address... - previously it was wlan0 2) It doesn't accept a static ip address (or rather it complains the address is already in use although it isn't) 3) It doesn't automatically start up (/sbin/ifconfig only shows lo interface) Anybody seen anything similar? Phil

Proxy

Hi I installed SuSE 9.3 at work but im struggling to get the updates because of our proxy. My username is user(a)domain.com but in the yast proxy settings you cant input the "@" character so i cant input my username. I's there a file where i can change this or a way to bypass it? Thanx

Anders, Did you ever figure this out? The thread seemed to die out without anyone coming up with a concrete answer. OTish Overlaying images

Hi All, Does anyone know of an application which would let me define reference points in two (or more) images such that the two can be overlaid on each other. Specifically, I am hoping to lay images of maps over aerial photos and other maps, so the software would need to be able to calculate the necessary rotation and re-scaling to fit an overlaid image to a base image. changing suse window style in 9.3

Hello all: I've installed suse 9.3 and realized that it has a new suse window style (eg the window title bar is different). I preferred the look of the old suse style in 9.0 9.1 9.2. Is there any way to use that style in 9.3? TIA, IG
