I noticed my noticed my cupsd.conf file somehow appended itself 3 times to the end of the file. In that, I had 4 entries for the PORT Cups was using. KMail minor questions

The first question is how do I get kmail to rescan its folders. The kmail icon shows a few unread messages, but going to the next unread message does not work which would indicate to me that ether there are some unread messages, but the folder navigation does not detect them, or that there are no unread messages, and the icon is displaying a bogus number. The other question is that clicking on a URL is intermittent at best. A coworker is having the same problem and says a reboot solved the problem. Laptop and Intel 2200BG

I have a Micron Laptop running Suse Professional 9.1. It has a Intel centrino 2200bg NIC. I went to the sourceforge page for installing this NIC, downloaded the latest firmware and driver files. I placed the firmware files in the correct location, and ran the make for the driver. I know I must be missing a step. How do I get the card to appear as one of my options under the networking devices in YAST? Please be gentle, I'm still learning on this stuff.

flac problems with .shn file.

konqueror error message on login

starting beagled and best on login to Suse 9.3

Tried several things like chkconfig, but no success. I would like to start the beagled daemon and best automatically on login. Since beagled has to run as the user along with best, it has to be after the login. What file would I add these commands to so they would start automatically on login? TIA Art

bash script wait some seconds

Hi, not SuSE related, but ... :) how can I make a bash script to wait 10 seconds? I read about wait command, but it looks like the only argument it takes is the job ID. Cheers Sunny
