Hi, I need a document management software. At work i use lotus notes db's from document library template locally; to do that. I need sth just like that. I can run LN in wine; but not as root. Any syggestions? Thanks.

There is an excellent book which is called "DNS and Bind" (O'Reilly). Or try googling for ddns (dynamic update dns), it's what helped me there first place. Hi, I want a particular type of emails to be sent to a folder. Like, if I have files coming from abc(a)xyz.com OR having subject [SLE] or with "free prizes" in the body of the message, then they all should go to free-time folder. The rule :0 ^From.:*abc@xyz.com* ^Subject.:*\[SLE\]* B *free*prizes* free-time Shall implement an AND in the conditions, while I seem to need an OR here. Is it even possible to do it within one single rule? Need help on IDE drive and CDROM connections

Dear List Members, I have a Gigabyte GA-7DXR motherboard which has 4 IDE interfaces. (/dev/hda thru /dev/hdh). I currently have the following IDE devices: hda: IBM-DTTA-371010 ATA DISK drive hdb: IC35L040AVER07-0 ATA Disk drive hdc: DVDROM 10X, ATAPI CE/DVD-ROM drive hdd: IOMEGA ZIP 100 ATAPI, ATAPI FLOPPY drive On the motherboard are 4 additional interfaces for drives. I just purchased a Sony CD-R/RW (CRX220A1) which needs to be installed. I am currently running SuSE 7.3 but purchased 8.2 and will do a new install after I install the CD-R/RW drive. Now the question. What would be the best arrangement for the drives. I plan on keeping the hard drives on hda and hdb. I am thinking of putting the CD-R/RW on hdc and moving the DVDROM drive to hde. This would make the following configuration: hda / hdb (IDE0) 2 hard drives hdc / hdd (IDE1) CD-R/RW and ZIP drives hde / hdf (IDE2) CDROM-DVD and maybe an extra hard drive as slave. This would allow both CD drives to be masters. Is there a better setup considering I want to be able to burn CD's and maybe copy CD to CD. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. SuSE 8.2 --> Vanilla 2.4.20 kernel compilation fails??!!

Hello SuSE folks. Just today I updated my existing SuSE 8.1 to 8.2 version. Everything went very smoothly. However, when I tried to recompile plain vanilla 2.4.20 kernel from kernel.org, the compilation proceeded with a bunch of warnings like: warning: comparison between signed and unsigned and after a while it abruptly exited with errors. Interesting thing is that prior to this I recompiled and installed MySQL 4.0.12 DB from its sources from mysql.com without any problems. Could somebody please help me or give a hint how to solve this problem. I've noticed, that SuSE8.2 has a newer version of gcc 3.3. Could it be the case why kernel compilation fails? DHCP-problem

Hi, I switched from an NT to a Linux DHCP-server. Although I never configured the server for a DNS-server address of 192.168.10.7, this is what clients get when they ask for an IP-address. The DNS-server address I configured is in the 192.168.0. subnet. Any suggestions where to look ? I manage the server with Webmin, but when I looked at dhcpd.conf itself, everything seemed what was entered in Webmin. VMware 4.0 incredibly slow - SuSE 8.2!!

Hi there! On SUSE 8.2, vmware-config.pl runs smoothly, vmware launches perfectly, but the installation of a win98 system, for instance, lasts about 12 hours... any hints? P.S. After vmware-tools installation, the guest system is also slow P.P.S. Also the "guest vmware bios) is incredibly slow to navigate... My system: celeron 1Ghz, 256Mb ram, mainboard MSI6368 Regards, Radu

RPM question

Is there a way to extract just specific files from rpm package? What i'd like to do is try to fix an XFree issue where doing shutdown/reboot/login from KDE results in black console and the only way to get out of it is power down. I've found out it's XFree Radeon driver issue and Mandrake has already fix for it. I'd like to avoid installing their XFree rpm and try only their Radeon driver.
