Search problem in Kdevelop of SuSE 7.3

Hi, Kdevelop in SuSE Linux 7.2 is OK. When I start Kdevelop in SuSE Linux 7.3, I found search problem. Creation of search database is OK. But when I start searching of keyword such as QApplication, actual search action will not start in spite that there is message "searching selected text in documents". Please help me find solution. yast2 ERROR

Hello, In an effort to get some sort of useful printing out of my SuSE7.2 box I re-installed everything, AGAIN. Finally I can print from my kde apps and actually recieve output. I was really getting tired of only being able to print the cups test pages. I think there may be a bug, but thats for a different thread. After installation I used yast2's online update, 10 hours later @ 56k the update is done, I can still print all seems well Until-------------- I try running yast2 so that I can check some packages on the dvd, I get a requestor stating; "There was an error while attempting to obtain a list of available modules. The list of displayed modules may be incomplete. Please make sure that YaST2 and YaST2 Control Center are installed properly" I've tried reinstalling all yast packages I can find from the dvd but still get this damn error. >Enter RANT mode I'm spending more and more time trying to get SuSE to work and less and less time actually using it. (I have gone well beyond any hope of actually enjoying using SuSE) I AM FRUSTRATED. >Exit RANT mode Any Ideas about how to fix my current problem will be greatly appreciated. thank you,

When I issue the above command I get only a Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than /lib/modules/2.4.17-GB/modules.dep. Does anyone know what this means and how to correct it? Art

galeon 1.1.3 installation

What must I do to install Galeon v 1.1.3. I have SuSE 7.3 pro with the rpm package from SuSE of Mozilla 0.9.8 installed and working. The Galeon rpm complains that GConf >- 1.0.4 (I have 1.0.4-39) and gdk-pixbuf >= 0.13.0 (I have 0.11.0-57). There is a GConf 1.1.6 rpm and a gdk-pixbuf 0.16.0 rpm package available, but NO SuSE builds -- Pat Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 Registered at: http://counter.li.org

Hello, everyone. Well, it's high time I took care of having a backup device on my main machine here. I have my eye on the Seagate 20GB IDE Travan, but can only find a single Travan reference on the SuSE site. Does anybody know how well these drives work with SuSE ? Will it run with compression enabled ? Thanks, Stuart.

Suddenly am not able to switch virtual consoles?

Hello, I am running SuSE 6.2. or 6.4. As of two days ago, I can no longer switch virtual consoles. I haven't changed anything in my system. What could cause this? How do I even go about fixing it? I'm always using it to kill Netscape (surprise), when StarOffice locks up, and to kill a "find" process that starts up at times.
