[SLE] Auto starting (non-KDE) applications in KDE

I've added GKrellM to ./.kde2/Autostart so it runs everytime I start KDE (kstart --window gkrellm --alldesktops --ontop --skiptaskbar /usr/X11R6/bin/gkrellm). However, I'd like to know if it's possible to tell KDE where to place the application when it starts. Presently, all non-KDE application start in the top left-hand corner. Any ideas? KDE2.2.1 Search disappeared from Help

Has anyone else noticed that the 'Search' function which used ht:Dig in KDE Help has disappeared and been replaced by 'Glossary'. Seems like a weird thing to do to me. Anyother way of accessing ht:Dig for searching and indexing info on one's computer? TIA, Jethro

[SLE] KCMInit crash on KDE startup

When I booted my box this morning KDE failed and I received the following message: KCMInit (kcminit) crashed and caused a signal 6 (SIGABRT). Odd? No recent changes to my system albeit a powerfail yesterday. This only affected my account and I was able to sort things out by renaming .kde2 and letting KDE recreate the folder. Hi fellows, I am stuck in this problem: I bought a mainboard from somewhere without manuals, without nothing. Now, I need to know (for a BIOS update) what manufactor is behind that board. Is there any Linux tool that can read that data out for me? KDE crash after copy & paste

I have a problem with my KDE that is when i trei to copy and paste several times a string in a textbox of any QT program it simple crash and exits to console. I have another problem with my nvidia that is when i trie to go to console o try to chg from X session to console and back and so on my keyboard lost functionality and i an't kill the task and do resolve the situation. I know if i configure magi key request it could me resolve the situation of lost the keyboard input but every time i try to reconfigure the kernel it askme after i configure it for i module that i can't find aflter configure it even with make cloneconfig The module is: snd-card-ens1371 And because of this yast2 or other tool says it can't configure sounds back and I have to load manualy the es1371.o module. Tomcat ?? Where to get it

Hi All, I have to learn how to use a Java based web portal that will run on most web servers. To run on Linux it needs to have Java on Apache, I have been advised that it is better to use something called Tomcat. Could someone please direct me to where I can find out some more information on Tomcat. Thanks in advance.
