Ok ; I went into nodules.conf using pico.The first listed were Using Pico I opened /etc/modules.conf and this appeared #Aliases-specify your hardware alias eth0 sis900 alias eth1 off alias tr0 off alias scsi_hostadapter off alias fb0 off Then a bunch of stuff, and then some options that are useless to me as of yet.Any idea? Hi, everybody After spooling a fax with faxspool, I want to send it. I've this error message with faxrunq : processing F000003/JOB... /usr/sbin/sendfax -v 0141755254 f1.g3 Trying fax device '/dev/ttyS0'... OK. /usr/sbin/sendfax: not a class 2/2.0 fax modem command exited with status 3 My modem is an Olitec self memory 56000. What is a class 2/2.0 fax modem ? I can't find something in doc. Dear sirs, i have got a machine running a PE7.2 and i would like to administrate it from my home. Any suggestion? I set up the ROOT_LOGIN_REMOTE variable to "yes", but when i try to telnet that machine, the telnet window shuts down. Thanks in advance Gabriele

Sketch On SuSE 7.2

Greetings, Anybody manage to get Sketch to work on 7.2? I tried installing the rpm for SuSE 7.2 from here : http://sketch.sourceforge.net/ I got file dependancy failures for the following _imaging.so is needed by sketch-0.6.12-1 libBLT24.so is needed by sketch-0.6.12-1 Anyone know where an imaging rpm is? I tried an older version that I found on skectch.sourceforge but it was giving me a libjpeg6 needed....I have libjpeg62 package installed. What is libBLT24? Thanks for any and all help...I really need to have a good vector program for Linux....I hope this is it...as killustrator just doesn't cut it for me. Brian D.

Annoying chimes when system is booting

I asked this question a couple of weeks ago, but didn't get a reply that helped. When the computer is booting suse, when system services such as usb, keymap etc. are starting -- I get approximately 5-8 chimes from my computer speaker. This is well before either X or KDE starts - so that is not the answer. How can I turn this off - short of disconnecting the speaker? -- Marianne Taylor
