failed to load kernel module "r128"; Where should DRM install modules?

Hi, I am having trouble getting r128.o to load. See log below. What I would like to know is: o Am I installing r128.o in the right place? o Are the DRI guides wrong when they say that kernel modules should be installed to /lib/modules/2.4.x/kernel/drivers/char/drm/ ? o Does the SuSE Makefile.modules have a bug because it installs to /lib/modules/$(UTS_RELEASE)/video? DETAILS I have downloaded the SuSE version of 4.0.3 as well as Xfree86km_drm-4.0.3-*.i386.rpm and have followed the instructions in the readme ( ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/X/XFree86/XFree86-4.0.3-SuSE/README ) to compile the DRM kernel modules. mail serving newbie question

well here's something i haven't done before, maybe you have and can give me a clue....... i have a linux box, (SuSE 7.0) on my desk and i want to run fetchmail periodically, ( a few times a day), and then allow the other machines to pull thier email from the linux box.....the "other" machines are M$ boxes and view mail from internet exploder or nutscrape, so do i need a pop server on the linux box? the other side of the coin is outgoing mail.....which works for the accounts i have set up on the linux box, but i'm a little fuzzy on how the windows boxes would relay through the linux box...... -- Donald G. [SLE] Fdd Tape drive

Hello everyone, Am trying to run a Colorado T1000 Tape drive on FDD controller with Suse V6.4. Have got the following from the /var/log/messages file. It seems to find the drive and say it can't find it. When I try 'mt -f /dev/nqft0 rewind' it says 'no such device. SMC Barricade broadband router users?

Anyone using an SMC Barricade broadband router (SMC7004BR) and linux? I can get things working fine if I assign a static IP address to my linux box, but if I set it up to use DHCP it doesn't want to play. At boot time a message does get displayed complaining about the DHCP server's response, but I can't read it fast enough and it doesn't show up in dmesg or /var/log/messages. ??? Kernel Problem in 7.1

Hi, I have just upgraded to 7.1. The problem I have is that the kernel I appear to be running is 2.4.0-GB . The problem is that I'm trying to reconfigure my copy of vmware. It complains that the c library headers don't exist for the kernel I'm running. When I go to /usr/src the linux link points to 2.4.0-SuSE and there is basically mothing in the 2.4.0-GB directory. Does anyone know whats going on, as the modules are also for 2.4.0-GB.
