SuSE on HP OmniBook 6000

Does anybody know if the SuSE version is running fine on an HP OmniBook 6000. If Yes, does the sound driver is integrated to the distribution ? Does the WinModem have support also ? Does VmWare work fine ? Actually I've dot the RedHat 7.0, and I think that I'll move this box to a system with the 2.4 kernel, and I think about a SuSE distribution. Thanks for your help. Slightly p****d off at netscape? Don't run Konquerer because you don't want the overhead of KDE? Couldn't get w3m to compile (I couldn't)? Then get your butt over to www.opera.com and get the latest beta for linux! Currently a 30 day shareware-type licence, a free version will be out soon. And, before you start moaning about the 30 days bit -- it's a 2.5 MB download! It's also the fastest (graphical) browser I've ever seen! -- This Email is 100% Virus Free! How do I know? Because no Microsoft products were used to generate it! 2.4.1 Plus Sound

Just wondering if anyone at SuSE knows the correct parameters for the Sb Live card that needs to go into modules.conf. Also, for joysticks (analog in this case). This is for 2.4 Kernel, not the old style. They changed the modules location and names :-). Also, somehow I broke Apache.....The newest version from the web (3.14 I believe) complains about mod_backhand, check the log file. The log file says that a certain line in modules.conf contains a syntax error. However the line in question has nothing to do with Apache and is even commented out. Anyone know? Matt PS Other than everything working fine :-).

Apache/Jserv on Suse 6.4

hi all, I'm trying to get an old toshiba satellite pro 400 cdt running apache/jserv. It has 16MB RAM and enough diskspace and I've checked all my classpaths and the like as noted at http://java.apache.org/ under the 'Emergency can't connect 127.0.0.1:8007' error. I got it working on my desktop pc, which also has more processes running along with a network card, etc. Is there perhaps, some network function (yes, loopback is up and running too) I've forgotten to install or configure? As I'm working with the binary rpm and not building apache/jserv from scratch, I've not put gcc on the laptop though. I've also got jdk1.3 from sun and jsdk2.0. Any help appreciated. -- Cheers Bruce
