[SLE] SB PCI64 es1371 problem

Hi (Sorry if you read this second time, but I didn't receive a copy of this from the list) I'm trying to install a sound card with es1371 based chip to a Suse 6.3 with 2.2.14. Everything went fine until I tried wavplay sillisound.wav as I got this reply to the console: Invalid argument: Audio block size (64 bytes) I've been around the net and Suse's maoling list arhives, but no luck. lspci -i recgs the card, no irq conflicts. Anyone? Please. Being a slightly coward, as far as new stuff going into a working world I have a separate drive setup as new_down. I can only download here, I then unpack and check it out before moving it to where it ends (such as /usr/local etc). [SLE]Pine and Lynx.

Can someone tell me how to get pine to launch lynx for a url. I can't get anything but a brief glimps of lynx and then it returns to pine. I'm testing the evaluation version of 6.3. Some highly useful commands (rdev, expect) don't work. Thanks AFAIK there is no such option, but you can use a small shell script like this: #!/bin/sh useradd "$@" || exit 1 while [ $# -gt 1 ]; do shift; done chmod 711 "/home/$1" Call it something like "myuseradd" and invoke it with the same arguments you would use for the original useradd. Exception: This simple script assumes that a users home directory is always /home/USERNAME. You can extend it to recognize the -d option and read the defaults in /etc/defaults/useradd, if needed. Is there a way to have the user's home dir be mode 711? Is there some option somewhere I am missing?
