[SLE] Kernel settings for a Cyrix

Hi everyone, I've got a Cyrix 150 at work and I can not figure out what my kernel CPU settings need to be for it to work correctly. I keep getting kernel panics during bootup, and I know that's not good. I can not even use the default SuSE kernel. To: SuSE <suse-linux-e(a)suse.com> Still a "poor" question. My SuSE6.1/2.2.14 desktop works sometimes as a ftp-server for my company W98 laptop, so I can upload files from SuSE. I configured through YaST my 3com, assigned a IP (192.168.0.1) and everything went fine (my laptop was configured as 192.168.0.2): ping and ftp good. Then I upgraded YaST and all the update rpm available for 6.1. (Now I have no details because now I'm at work while the SuSE is at home). Self-ping is ok but ping towards the laptop (configured as 192.168.0.2) fails. Of course any ftp fails. More it seems from the screen that YaST doesn't see the 3com as recognized. (yet the older version worked). Is there the possibility that changing YaST ore updating some package has modified something? [SLE] ditto 800 insider - Ftape :error no such device Details

Hi guys, Can you help with my problem, I'd connected the iomega ditto 800 insider internal through the second connector of the fdd cable and the jumper is set to DS1. I'm just newbie with Suse 6.2. Does this version of linux supported that? if it is,how to check if it is loaded or unloaded? When i ran df /dev/ftape or df /dev/rft0 it gives me error such as no device found . . . PCL is HP's page description language. Postscript is also a page description language, but the two are incompatible. PCL has various levels & extensions matched to the hardware capabilities of the printers. HP can do this since it's a propriatary format. AFAIK all HP printers are backwards-compatible with earlier PCL levels. Any scsi tape drive should work.
