I was trying to implement guest user printing and chose the setup from the bottom of the page: print command = /usr/bin/lpr -U%U@%M -P%p -r %s lpq command = /usr/bin/lpq -U%U@%M -P%p lprm command = /usr/bin/lprm -U%U@%M -P%p %j lppause command = /usr/sbin/lpc -U%U@%M hold %p %j lpresume command = /usr/sbin/lpc -U%U@%M release %p %j queuepause command = /usr/sbin/lpc -U%U@%M -P%p stop queueresume command = /usr/sbin/lpc -U%U@%M -P%p start It does not work and causes the print job to be spooled but not printed or deleted. I changed to: print command = /usr/bin/lpr -P%p -r %s lpq command = /usr/bin/lpq -P%p lprm command = /usr/bin/lprm -P%p %j lppause command = /usr/sbin/lpc hold %p %j lpresume command = /usr/sbin/lpc release %p %j queuepause command = /usr/sbin/lpc -P%p stop queueresume command = /usr/sbin/lpc -P%p start and the print job gets spooled from the Windows box, printed and deleted. I guess the problem is solved but I don't understand what the problem was. Therefor I'd like to have more than one distribution on my computer. I have a new 30Gb HD as a slave. The 6.4Gb master is for windows 98. On the 30Gb I can make sevaral partitions with Partition Magic. The problem is: how can I configure LILO so that it will be possible to have more distro's (Suse, RedHat and Debian) and make a choice between them (and win98) at the lilo-prompt? And next: do I need 3 swap-partitions or can I do with one for all three distro's? Remember: I'm a newbie, so keep your answer simple..... Jan.

I'm having trouble trying to get GCC 2.95.2 to compile on my router box since it has limited hard drive space. (I'm actually trying to install another software but it needs GCC 2.95.2 before it will compile.) I'm trying "make bootstrap-lean" to see if it will compile successfully. (This option removes the object files from the first two stages before beginning the third stage.) Would it be possible to compile GCC on one machine and then manually install the compiled files to another machine? Thanks!
