As a matter of fact, you can (from what I've read, mostly crack-head authors, though) place an Athlon in a Slot 1 board. Architecturally (pin-out wise) they are totally different. Slot A is actually a 200mhz FSB design, slowed down to 100 and 133mhz, and Slot 1 is a 66mhz design that's been sped up to 100 and 133 mhz. [SLE] StarOffice5.1-fonts

I have installed iso8859-2 fonts. In StarOffice 5.1 i have helvetica font (default). When i open new text document iso8859-2 font working normal but when i change to other font and than again helvetica font, it is 8859-1 now. [SLE] upgrading glibc with suse rpm's

Hi, In my search for why kernel 2.2.13's kmod wasn't working for me, while 2.2.5's is working, I began to think I needed the latest glibc for the threads to work. I have the original suse6.0, with the original glibc. Suse 6.1 has a newer glibc version? [SLE] Installation info for Newbie

Hi, Just got a copy of SuSe 6.1 which I will install on a fairly old 486dx next weekend. Seeing as how everyone else has already got Linux installed (hopefully!), are there any pitfalls or hints that you would like to pass on about installing SuSe Linux. I've read the relavent bits in the book which came with the distribution, but if you have any other bits of info I would be eternaly grateful. If there is another place where I can get this info, please let me know. [SLE] 640x480 with no wirtual desktop

The box owner cannot see regular sized type for resolutions of 800x600 and up. So, I did a configuration with 640x480, which the owner can see just fine. But, the app windows are larger than the destop and I am unable to access the buttons that matter like accept, OK, and close.
