Howdy, Try as I may, I just can't figure this one out! Hopefully someone here has done it, or knows how :) When you submit a form (GET form), anything entered that is more than one word in a box, gets put into the url in the form of this+and+another+word+please+carol There has to be a way to get it to put it as: this%20and%20another%20word%20please%20carol I'm at a loss as to how to achieve this, can anyone help? [SLE] docserver, apache and htdig problem partly resolved

Well, the problem was very simple, but it took me a while to figure out. You see, when I originally installed the distribution in early Sept, I instructed that everything be installed. In particular, three different web servers were installed and were set running automatically at bootup. They were Syrix (commercial demo version), Apache and something called thttpd. I noticed Syrix and uninstalled it, but thttpd has such a similar name that when I saw it running I assumed it had something to do with Apache. Silly me. Well, it turns out that thttpd was somehow interfering with apache, and therefore the docserver etc. wasn't working. I uninstalled thttpd, and now the docserver works and htdig works. However, I still cannot access man pages from susehelp. This may be a problem related to Rosettaman (rman), which is supposed to convert man pages to http on the fly, or it may be a permission problem. I tried to run rman on its own but it hung. The syntax may be wrong though. Can anyone give me a rman formatting command that definitely works so that I can try on my machine? I think it is reasonable to warn people to make sure when setting up the doc server that only one web server is running, and I am going to email SuSE to that effect. After all, they explicitly refused to answer questions about this feature, and nobody else had any idea. My PC is stand-alone. I looked around the 6.2 distribution CDs but couldn't find a true type font server. Does anyone know if one exists on the CDs and if not, where I can pick one up? My GNOME system does not auto-mount the disk when I insert. OTOH, if I double-click on the CD icon, it will mount the disc for me, just as KDE already does.
