OS/2 vs Windows: More crash resistant, better pre-emptive multitasking, built-in voice recognition (OS/2 Warp 4 vs ANY incarnation of Windows). Word Perfect vs Word: Better table and column handling. (Version 6 for each.) Amiga vs PC: Sound and graphics were easily 5 years ahead of the PC. [SuSE Linux] ppp & DNS server setup

[SuSE Linux] 6.0 ??

Now that 6.0 is up on ftp,it cannot be long before a cd release. I'm worried about the latest announcements from the big guys HP and (not yet public) IBM that they will support RedHat Linux. This means that Linux = RedHat for the most people, and where will that put SuSE? I put this question to the list what config files are needed for diald to work propperly? (besides the ppp-up) /etc/suseppp/diald/generic.diald /etc/diald.conf what else.. Yes I know there are alot of diald files but... Im asking which are the most common user adjustable config files to get diald to work in a very *basic* fashion. The article states that BeOS costs GBP49.00, which probably equates to USD79.00 I'm seriously tempted. [SuSE Linux] Unlimited data

I have a DLT drive I need to test, so I need to backup 30Gig of data. I don't have 30G of data to backup. Is there a device file I can backup, like the /dev/random or /dev/null that will seem like a large file (not just a large data file made up of zero's).
