[SuSE Linux] Printing problems

Happy New Year! Is it just me or has anyone else had the following printing problem. I am using an Epson Color Stylus 800 printer. Under SuSE 5.3, it has did a spectacular job of printing, except it takes forever and a day to print something out. At first I had assumed that the problem was in the postscript translation in the apsfilter, but I used the printer on a Sun (running Solaris 2.6) and a RedHat 5.2 linux box, and had absolutely no print delay. When I print under SuSE, whether it is ASCII or postscript, I am getting a print speed of about 1 page every 1 1/2 to two minutes. I have reduced the resolution of printing from 1440 down to 360, and still no increase in speed. I was just wondering if anyone has gone through the same problem and has come up with a better solution. I am including a copy of my printcap file to see if there is just something plain wrong with my configuration. Thanks, -- Kim C.
