[SuSE Linux] WindowMaker 0.50.2 - No Go

OK ...a fresh install of Allmost Everything, Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Available Capacity Mounted on /dev/sda2 303243 69781 217799 24% / /dev/sda3 3672235 1706443 1775824 49% /usr /dev/sdb2 1981000 385 1878201 0% /src /dev/sdc1 1981000 157863 1720725 8% /opt /dev/sdb3 1286196 203133 1014386 17% /home /dev/sdc2 2074460 381857 1585370 19% /filebin /dev/sdb1 746387 396530 311303 56% /usr/lib Window Maker 0.50.2 still doesn't compile , as it gets the same error as before. I loaded everything except the 2 windowmaker rpms. No go....... Why is it that when I choose to reply to a message, it will always go to the original sender, not the list, nomatter what email program I am using, but all these autoresponders and mailerdaemons infallibly flood the list with messages like this one? Is it possible to configure the list, so that these errors will go to some other place than the list itself? Hello all, I've followed wvdial instructions down to the letter and the problem still persist, (no named is active). The conection works , but the dns resolution doesn't. And kppp and suseppp doesn do better, conection work but dns resolution doesn't even work. The most I've gotten is a eternal try of resolution every program says "looking up www.uab.es" as an example and stays there forever till a timeout. Thanks to all one more time. Hi all, first of all I want to apologize for the trouble the last days. Following Murphy's law, several things came together and made the mailinglist trouble the worst we ever had: - the list maintainer (Bodo) is on vacation - trouble started when the new maintainer was out at a customer for a whole day - Lenz (who also reads the list) is on vacation - I myself was at home because both my children became sick So we realized the problems way too late. I unsubscribed the problematic addresses from the list. Also, I removed this "reply-to" header from the configuration because many mail systems handle this as the return-path. Also, I changed the list post policy to allow postings only from subscribed users in order to avoid spam. I think the backlog of queued messages is almost empty so the problem now really should be solved. This kind of problems can not be avoided by 100%, but in this case it has been very annoying because nobody at SuSE was browsing the list for more than one whole day. I must admit that I prefer it when the list address is the reply-to address as at least 800f the time I forget to re-address the message when replying. I have been subscribed to other lists (also using majordomo) that have had bounces and loops and the admin was able to prevent future occurrences without dropping the list address from the reply-to. I'm no expert on list software or the specifics of mail headers and was wondering if anyone here knows a way of preventing bounces from going to the list while still keeping the reply-to. [SuSE Linux] Dialup configuration script

[SuSE Linux] Configuring Diamond 56i PRO PCI modem

Hi, I've been looking though the lists but can't see any reference to this, so I was wondering if anyone else had cracked this. I've installed a diamond 56i PRO PCI internal modem and am trying to configure it using setserial. I can see the modem when I go: (device near end of list). [end output] I've tried using the bios to assign other interrupts - but with out much success. I've still got my previous modem installed (so I don't loose my internet connection) It's a PnP SupraExpress 28i on com2, and it still works. Com1 is present, but unused at present. I'm trying to set the new modem to be on /dev/cua2 (like com3) but with a different interrupt to com1. [example] whim:/sbin # setserial /dev/cua2 irq 11 port 0xebfe0000 whim:/sbin # cu -l /dev/cua2 Connected. cu: Got hangup signal Disconnected. # [end example] Has anyone else managed to configure a PCI modem? I checked that this wasn't a Winmodem when I bought it. I've looked in the SuSe knowledge base but wasn't able to locate an answer there either.
