[SuSE Linux] Lack of Colours

I have a Creative Labs Graphics Blaster 3D with 4MB and there seems to be a severe lack of colour. When I try to startx -- -bpp 16 a horizontal bar of noise appears on the screen and the server locks up. The server I am running is XF_SVGA and I would have thought with having 4MB it would run okay. My monitor is Idek IIyama Vision Master 450 and I don't think this is the problem. Any thoughts or Ideas on how to solve this would be greatfullt received. [SuSE Linux] Fonts in Netscape

I've set the "Always Use My Fonts" option in my Netscape 4.05 that came with SuSE 5.2, and selected 14 pt fonts for both fixed and proportional fonts. But, Netscape ignores my option and the selected fonts, and uses the fonts in a default size (and color) that is very hard to read at 800x600. How can I get Netscape to use larger font sizes (other than going to 640x480)? Also, what goes in the empty boxes on the Netscape config page under "Use Scalable Fonts"? I found a better way just update my shadow file to contain the NIS served passwords I'm probably going to write a script to do this automatically when passwd is updated. Right now I'm just copying over the encrypted passwords. [SuSE Linux] Netscape Communicator 4.5b1 Address Book broken?

I noticed that I lost all of my address book entries in Communicator 4.5b1. I looked in my ~/.netscape directory and there is an "abook.nab" file but communicator seems to ignore it. I can import my "abook.nab" file but it appears that Communicator 4.5b1 stores the address book as a series of temporary files in ~/.netscape like so: -rw-r--r-- 1 tony users 10120 Sep 8 08:18 tmp35D121F90270274.na2 -rw-r--r-- 1 tony users 2496 Sep 8 08:18 tmp35D121F90280274.na2 -rw-r--r-- 1 tony users 2496 Sep 8 08:18 tmp35D121F90290274.na2 -rw-r--r-- 1 tony users 2496 Sep 8 08:18 tmp35D121F902A0274.na2 -rw-r--r-- 1 tony users 2496 Sep 8 08:18 tmp35D121F902B0274.na2 If I erase these files, I lose my address book entries. I guess I may need to go back to 4.05 instead. [SuSE Linux] Permerdia 2 XServer didn't install rigth in 5.3 !!!

Hello, I'm just bought the new 5.3. I used before 5.2 without major problems... With this new version I choosed to do a fresh install. In the installation I choose to install the Xserver for Permedia 2... But even saX or XF86Setup can't configure the XServer any ideas of what is btoken ? I'm new to KDM so the question I have is: When I start it I can't access any root files or . files except in the file manager which says it started in su mode. How can I change the default to get the programs to read all the files?
