One of the results of today's team meeting was the finalization of the Marketing Liaison page: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Marketing_liaison I mentioned to AJ it would be helpful if we had the following resources/guides enumerated in the Marketing portal somewhere: * How-to interact with the Weekly Newsletter team regarding your team/project * Tips for announcing releases/submitting content to news.o.o * ?? [opensuse-marketing] Wiki titles (preparation for Introductin to wiki)

I've seen wrong capitalization so in process of redirecting to openSUSE:Marketing_launch_templates out of habit I checked can I shorten title. It seems that we probably don't need Marketing there, and in general we don't need to encode project ownership in article title, like in: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Marketing_Launch_Templates There will be cases when such encoding is necessary, like with: http://en.opensuse.org/Category:Marketing_archives http://en.opensuse.org/Category:Marketing_resources http://en.opensuse.org/Category:Marketing_team Words archive, resources, team and similar are used in each project, so we have to encode project in the title, but 'Launch template' to me appear to be marketing specific? (not sure though) We have categories and we can use that to sort articles. http://en.opensuse.org/Category:Marketing Category can be listed in portal page in navigation section that should be placed on right side ( http://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Marketing ). [opensuse-marketing] Quck survey for Conference attendees

As some of us get ready to prepare for upcoming openSUSE Conference in Nuremberg (October 20-23, 2010), I'm looking for a quick headcount of who will be there. 2 questions: 1) If you are a participant in openSUSE's Marketing Team or Ambassador Program, do you intend to be at openSUSE Conference? 2) If yes to 1), we are *thinking* about a Marketing hackfest day, the day before the Conference starts. (Tuesday, October 19). It would be an all-day event. Would you go? Getting some headcounts will help us to decide if there's enough people interested to make it happen. Then we can make arrangements for the resources needed. Hello All! We currently work on a openSUSE PR-Kit which will contain a standard project flyer. The flyer give some basic informations about the openSUSE Project etc. The final flyer will be a roll folded DIN A4. So the flyer has 6 pages. Hi people. Welly, happily I'm gaining more power and voice here in my country, small but at least the openSUSE word its now in the mouths of a lot of LUG's here, so because that I'm trying to get more in touch with the users and newbies around using the IRC, my blog and Twitter. Besides the encounter feelings about Facebook, I create a group [1] for all the people come together and take advantage of the platform options like forums and that. My question is, its ok to use FB?, or there is another way to accomplish this? The idea: - Put events - Send messages to members from while to while - A forum - Pictures and stuff If there is another option (more open, i think), or best way to get this please let me know.
