What is COSCUP?
http://coscup.org/2011/en/
COSCUP is the largest annual FLOSS conference organized by local
communities in Taiwan. The conference has sessions for new users,
enthusiastic promoters, coders or anyone who is interested in
cutting-edge FLOSS technologies. The goal is to create a friendly and
informative environment for people from different communities to make
friends, learn new technologies and inspire each other.
Open source software is supported by 3 groups: coders, users and
promoters. This conference is aimed at all three groups. No matter
whether you are a new user, a passionate promoter, mature developer or
anywhere in between, you are welcome at COSCUP, the Conference for
Open Source Coders, Users and Promoters!

Hi,

I just saw a thing on Google+ where Conan would answer questions. I
think we should do something similar, #AskGeeko. Granted, this would be
different... no webcam hangout, but would allow people to ask questions,
serious and silly from the project. I'll try to answer as the page where
possible, and other folks could answer as well. If we are lucky, we may
be able to get #AskGeeko to trend.

I have to give more time to my family and so to step away from some of
my present occupations.

this have nothing related to openSUSE - I will continue to use and
promote it, but locally

Dear all,
I read the wiki pages regarding marketing and strategy. Something
remains not clear to me: how to we proceed at openSUSE to turn
strategy definition and market share analysis into products and
features?
Please, is there some place in which I can find this?
Thanks
Best regards
Alexandre

Hi there,
So, there is a Mexican Company (textil) that is using the openSUSE
Logo, they has been registered the logo to the mexican intelectual
property institute as their trade mark.
Here there is the webpage: http://chamy.mx/index.html and the
Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/ChamybyDesign
I'm wondering if SUSE de Mexico (where I use to work) has any issue
about it. Anyway, I don't think that this kind of ripoff has to be
allowed.
Regards!

Heya all,
I'll be printing a number of nice, glossy brochures for artists using
openSUSE. If this works out we can improve on it and do something more with
the concept of having non-openSUSE projects endorsing us at our booths.
But for now, I have added 2 openSUSE pages to the last pages of the whole
document (below a cut-down version of the document). I have text, images -
and even a quote from the Krita maintainer suggesting artists that openSUSE
is the best out there :D
What is less good is that my design skills - or lack there-of - are very
visible. last two pages will be the inside- and outside of the last page of
the brochure (it's a 24 page small book, a4 size). I need somebody to make
them look pretty. They can be redesigned any way anyone of you see fit...
Anyone willing to make this look a bit better? Again, JUST care about the
*last two pages*. it would even be fine to send me a PDF or even image with
just the last 2 pages as output back - I can then do the change myself on
the original document (which is 50 MB, hence this smaller one).

It would be nice to have it sometime this week... :D
Thanks,
Jos
