Hello listmates!
Since April 2021 the official Spanish forum for openSUSE (forosuse.org
since was outside openSUSE infra) was offline due technichal issues
(vBulletin version, PHP, hosting issues, etc)
The current moderators were waiting since then for the Admin to fix this
issues (also we provided help or support with that), but we didn't get
news about the process. So we decided to ask help and a place in
forums.o.o infra.
Malcom Lewis and Jim Henderson have done the best and now, we have a
spanish forum inside openSUSE infra, great!! :) (but still is not
available for everyone)
I want to ask if a text as anouncement (available in etherpad.o.o¹) of
the new "release" of spanish forum inside forums.o.o written by mods can
be published in news.o.o?
But, we don't have a date which spanish forum will be open for everyone.
If the text fits in news.o.o when we have the final date I can share
here to publish the text...
Kind regards.

Hi all,
Last year we participated in Hacktoberfest, which is an event run by
Digital Ocean and DEV that encourages people to make their first
contributions to open source projects.
The event is a month away and it would be ideal to have a few projects
within openSUSE host an event. Whether it is an event to teach people
about a project, teach someone how to maintain a package or just a class
abou improving documentation, any contribution will help.
There is a page about Hacktoberfest on
https://etherpad.opensuse.org/p/hacktoberfest2021 where you can list
your ideas. I'll put the topic on the list for our community meetings so
we can discuss it later today and next week.
Get more info about Hacktoberfest at,
