I've re-uploaded the SVG files for the three openSUSE posters I made
earlier this year on my personal web server, so the links are back up on
the Miscellaneous artwork page[1]. I've got posters with the topic of
"Freedom", "Choice", and "Community". If anyone has any other ideas for
posters, let's hear 'em ;-)

And anyone interested in seeing these posters in (printed) action, from
the openSUSE user group in Indonesia:

Have a lot of fun, ya'll!

Hello,
http://en.opensuse.org/Screencasts looks like never really started :-( but
screencasts are a nice way to present features (remember how often Duncan's
video about early libzypp's speed got linked?). IMO screencasts can be also
shown at booths to attract visitors (who doesn't get tired to do the same
clicks again and again to show some feature all day long?).
Is anyone interested in driving this forward? :-)
Bye,
Steve

Hi all,
OpenSuSE 11.0 has reached maturity and has gone GM, and as a result has
been released onto the download mirrors. Boxed versions are still not
available however, unless they are on pre-order. Something in the
marketing is wrong as if the software is release it should be available
in all forms.
Why must a person who is supporting the OpenSuSE distro by buying a
boxed version have to wait longer for it than those who can download it?
The software has gone public and yet some of the public cannot access
it, and I speak for those who might want boxed sets and who have no
distributor in their country i.e. South Africa, as well as pitiful line
speeds.
When are the boxed sets going to be available, not on pre-order, but as
a live order as I have seen nothing on the announcements list ?
Regards
Hylton

Actually it's packaged[1] for openSUSE <= 10.3 but not for openSUSE 11.0, yet.

Hi,
can I suggest that the openSuSE project add to their major release launch
instructions updating wikipedia to reflect the new release. AS an example
of an old page I'd give
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Linux_distributions

Hi,
Can we use the presentations templates without being Novell
employee?(http://en.opensuse.org/Marketing/Presentation) I'm asking
because I'm writing a tutorial how to install the LiveCD and make the
system being translated (which is very easy because of the new
zypper/YaST feature - install new recommended)

So I've started the 11.0 Feature Tour at
http://en.opensuse.org/11.0_Tour which is basically a "consumer" version
of the reviewer's guide from Zonker. It includes basically screenshots
of the different features, and is put in a way so most normal people who
aren't tech journalists will have a place to find quick info on 11.0.
So I do request the marketing team's help in growing out that page. I
have a list of things I'd like to cover at the top of the page, so
anyone willing to start there, that would be great. Also, there appears
to be an issue with the images: no matter what I try, I can't get them
to go to the left or right of the text. They always want to go on top.
So if someone knows a fix, please apply it and tell me what I screwed
up ;-)
Thanks!

Hi all,
I've been working on a simple "guide" to 11.0 to send to reviewers, here:
http://en.opensuse.org/Guide_to_11.0
I'd appreciate additions / edits / screenshots if anyone is interested
in taking a crack at it.
Best,
Zonker
