Hi all,
April 16-17 in Antwerp, Belgium, the Linux Open Administration Days will
take place. This free event offers a chance for LPI certification as
well as meeting and talking to linux sysadmins. There is a call for
presentations here: http://www.loadays.org/content/call-presentations
If you want to go and give a talk there about openSUSE tech - that's be
awesome. If you can't afford to go there due to travel or hotel costs,
let me know, we might be able to work something out ;-)
cheers,
Jos
Hello mates,
Since a few years I'm holding the chair of the openSUSE Weekly News Team, and
it was a very interesting time. Also i've worked with a great team.
Sadly i must announce, that i give up my chair to the End of this year.
My work for open-slx will be extended in the next year, and so i have'nt
enough time to contribute the Weekly News again.
So we are searching a new chairman for this Subproject.
One of the first things to decide are the following:
* Should we produce again in Docbook/XML or
* Should we publish in the old way (Wiki).
If this point is clear we have to create a stragedy, how to work with the
other teammates? Use Wiki to collecting and publishing?
And so on.
Also it is important to know, that the fact (find a new chairman or not) will
have a depency to the Continue the whole Subproject.
cu Sascha

They are considering going open source with their client, and it looks
extremely likely they will. This could be an opportunity to push OBS and if we
act fast we could take advantage of being the first distro to offer it in a
repo in RPM format. Maybe some useful code too.

This is a poll about documentation of which distro is complete and intelligible:

It seems SUSE and openSUSE anre outsiders...
